At about 11:30, Mr. Haitham Zahran, a Palestinian “Intelligence Police” officer, heading a group of “Intelligence Police”, all in civil clothes in the same way as the Israeli death squad “mistaaravim”, surrounded the supermarket of Mr. Al-Skhel on the road of the New Academy of Al- Najah University in Nablus. Mr. Zahran arrived at the supermarket of Al-Skhel driving his private car, the other elements were driving a black van belonging to the “Intelligence Police”. The owner of the Supermarket Mr. Sadi Al-Skhel and his two sons Musab and Mohammad were at the supermarket.

Mr. Sadi Al-Sakhel
Extreme anger prevails among the Palestinian citizens of Nablus after elements of the Palestinian militarized police murdered a respected Palestinian elderly man, Mr. Sadi Al-Skhel from Nablus. The militarized police, which has taken the place of the israeli occupation soldiers when abducting, torturing and murdering Palestinians, continues its illegal assaults on the citizens by terrorizing, arresting, interrogating and imprisoning political activists or people deemed as such according to the demands of the israeli occupation.
Yesterday, Saturday June 15 2013, the militarized police perpetrated its latest crime, which led to the death of Palestinian citizen Al-Skhel in Nablus. The Palestinian police has imposed tight censorship over the Palestinian media in an attempt to conceal the crime that can be described as a crime against humanity according to international laws. This murder is also an embarrassment to the unit which perpetrated because they are among the units trained by the EUPOL COPPS, and they did only what they were trained to do. Behaving like a gang of common criminals, Mr. Zahran and his goons proceeded to terrorize the owners of the supermarket and arrest son Musab in a violent and denigrating way. The PA thugs did not show either father or sons an order of arrest for Musab, what means that the arrest of Musab was illegal. Haitham Al-Skhel asked the thugs to produce an arrest warrant, and that was his deaths sentence. Zahran and his thugs, seeing themselves exposed as nothing but a bunch of blood-crazed mafia, beat the old man badly.
Zahran first pointed a pistol at the old man and then fired several rounds in the air to intimidate him while one of his thugs beat the man, then the other thugs threw the old man and his son like sacks of garbage into their van. They brought them both to the Jnaid jail.

At Jnaid they separated them after taking away their IDs. While the son was left by the “Intelligence Police” in a cell of the investigations police, the thugs continued insulting the father and finally left him tied up in a yard under the scorching sun.
The old father felt on the floor unconscious because of the inhuman beatings he had endured and because of the scorching sun. The thugs eventually brought him to a hospital.
One of the doctors at the emergency intake said “we were surprised by about 10 persons wearing civilian clothes entering the emergency department with a man who was comatose. They threw him on a bed and disappeared from the scene within seconds”. He added after a while two police cars arrived. The emergency department then became crowded with police elements due to a criminal investigation. “We informed them that the man was dead”, referring to old Mr. Al-Skhel.
According to Al-Skhel family, they were informed of the death of their father by a patient who was at the emergency department, who had identified the owner of the supermarket and informed them about his death.
The family gives the General Intelligence Police full responsibility for the death of Mr. Sadi Al-Skhel, the first culprit being the officer “Haitham Zahran” in the service of the Intelligence Police in Nablus, as he and the thugs under his command treated the old man rudely and beat him up severely at his business, at the jail, and finally left him standing under the blazing sun for long time without water and do not let him see his son Musab.
The spokesman of the militarized police, Major General Adnan Al-Damire, fabricated a story in which he turned around the cause of Mr. Al-Skhel death, stating: “The citizen Sadi Al-Skhel died after arriving to the headquarters of the General Intelligence in company to his son Musab. There was no accusation against the father and he was not part of any investigation, but he “insisted” in accompanying his son, who was being investigated, and in the course of this “normal issue” the General intelligence Service allowed him to do that”.
The spokesman of the militarized police, Major General Adnan Al-Damire, fabricated a story in which he turned around the cause of Mr. Al-Skhel death, stating: “The citizen Sadi Al-Skhel died after arriving to the headquarters of the General Intelligence in company to his son Musab. Lying Al-Damire warned the media, demanding them to “not exploit the lives of citizens and their blood for political purposes in dealing with this crime”, which he described in his statement as an “event”.
This cowardly murder of an old man is ultimately one more murder of a Palestinian which goes to the account of the EU COPPS. The European police unit COPPS has been stationed since years in Ramallah and trains the Palestinian Police in the suppression of the Palestinian civilian society and of any citizen who would express views against the occupation.
The EU COPPS is garrisoned in Ramallah and works in occupied Palestine according to supplemental political protocols imposed on the Palestinian people. Their presence has resulted in a great increase in the brutality of Palestinian police. They are fully responsible for mass arrests, torture, deaths and continued violations of human rights perpetrated by the Palestinian police.
The European COPPS forces train the Palestinian police to do their dirty work which simply can be described as methodic violations of the international humanitarian law, as repressive dictatorship gangs whose tasks are defined simply as suppressing Palestinian opposition to the occupation and to turn Palestine into a bigger Guantanamo.
Their complicity in these grave crimes against the Palestinian people puts the personnel of the EU-COPPS on the wrong side of the law. The EU-COPPS personnel operating in the Palestine Authority is conspiring with the PA and the iseali occupation to perpetrate crimes against humanity, war crimes and to further genocide against the Palestinian people, for this they and those who sent them there are legally accountable according to international humanitarian law as well as under the laws of their countries of origin.
