Note in the below that this is a description of the evil that precedes the Antichrist who is the Abomination of Desolation. Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ then comes after the reign of Antichrist has proceeded for a while. Antichrist, his reign and the False Prophet and all their followers are then destroyed by the Second Coming of Our Lord Jesus Christ from heaven with all His elect Angels and sent to hell forever. The saints will then reign with Our Lord Jesus Christ at their head on earth forever.

Palestine, which is properly the Holy Land for in it walked God in the flesh, Jesus Christ, and there He allowed Himself to be sacrificed for the salvation of those who profess Him from the heart and with the mouth, is a miniature of all the evil that has come upon the earth and there will the final evil be concentrated in its fullness and rule from there for a short time.

Writing in the second century, St. Hippolytus wrote the following about the evil that will abound before the coming of Antichrist:

The temples of God will be like houses, and there will be overturnings of the churches everywhere. The Scriptures will be despised, and everywhere they will sing the songs of the adversary. "Consummation of the world," - the end of this age of grace and the beginning of the eternal ages with Christ reigning visibly. This is the end of the eschaton and the beginning of the eternal recreated heavens and the earth and will begin when Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ returns from heaven in the same flesh He rose with and ascended into the third heaven with, seated at the right hand of the Father. His return will be with all of His elect angels. He will raise and judge all men in the flesh and then recreate the heavens and the earth, which in that state will last that way for eternity. There will NOT be any sin in the new heavens and earth, so prepare now by confessing the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit and be baptized as commanded above and shown how to baptize below and live Holy and Godly lives in sincerity and humility and meekness waiting for the Lord when He returns so that we are not like the five foolish virgins but are like the five wise virgins.

Baptism can and should always be performed immediately when there is danger of death of the one to be baptized. For instance, impending martyrdom or possible death causing illness.

As the Word of God Jesus Christ willed to learn in His Incarnation what He already possessed and knew prior to His Incarnation as part of His kenosis (emptying out of Himself and taking upon Himself our nature while in no way losing anything of what He already was as God by nature and Son of God as the Second Person of the undivided Trinity) and as an example to us of how we in humility must follow God the Father and the Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.

The Muslim feast of Eid only commemorates the typological sacrifice by Abraham of Issac. That prefigured the final and only Supreme Sacrifice of Jesus Christ on His Most Holy Cross. But no where are we allowed to refuse baptism.

All Muslims and everyone who will, are invited and encouraged to come to the water of life now and be baptized in the water and in the Spirit in name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit and receive Communion.

Honor Killings Increased in Palestine

In two separate incidents last week under unclear circumstances young women were killed in the Gaza Strip. The Al Mezan Center for Human Rights condemns the crimes and calls on the concerned authorities to launch investigations and bring perpetrators to justice.

On Thursday, 20 February, 2014, S.N.M., 18, was killed at approximately 1:30 pm. A report of the death was given to the police by a relative of the victim. Two days after S.N.M. was buried, the Public Prospector’s office issued an order for the body to be dig up to undergo forensic examination.

According to the forensic physician on the case, the girl had been subjected to severe beating in the days before her death. The beating included blows to the head, which she appeared to have died from.

Also on Thursday of last week, medical sources in Khan Younis relayed the death of A. S., 17, who died after being stabbed in her home in Bani Suhaila in the east of Khan Younis. A. S., appeared to have died after being stabbed in the neck by her brother.
Al Mezan expresses its regret at the killing of the two girls and condemns acts that appear to be killings of women to preserve “family honor”.

Al Mezan calls on the Public Prosecution to take the effective procedures to ensure that perpetrators are brought to justice. Al Mezan asserts that the leniency with which the authorities treat the perpetrators of such crimes—who usually allege that they were acting to preserve “family honor”— has contributed to a noticeable increase in what is known as “honor killings”. Since the beginning of 2013 until now, seven women were killed in similar incidents.

Al Mezan calls on the authorities to treat such killings of women as murder and not to look beyond that for extenuating circumstances outside of the law.

Complaint Against UK, Germany and USA at Egyptian Court

العدالة المصرية تنظر في دعوى قضائية ضد ألمانيا, بريطانيا وأمريكا تطالب بالاعتراف بالمسئولية الدولية تجاه الشعب الفلسطيني

A group of Palestinian refugees filed a lawsuit at an Egyptian court against the UK, Germany and the United States to ask for international condemnation of these countries that caused the loss of the Palestinian national rights and territories by helping Israel to create its entity in Palestine and thus caused the displacement of millions of Palestinians from their land.

The lawsuit was filed on behalf of a “Popular Campaign to sue the United Kingdom for giving what they do not own to those who do not deserve”, a group formed by activists and headed by Dr. Awni Salim Al-Habit, a Doctor of Political Science. The Egyptian court stated that March 17 2014 is scheduled as a date for a hearing from the complainants.

Dr al-Habit said to Al-Quds newspaper in Jerusalem: “When I prepared my doctoral thesis, I found that Germany has a sense of guilt because of the holocaust, which was brought by Hitler to the jews, and that they are still paying compensation to people and to the israeli government to atone for their own guilt. I will do the same steps as those followed by the jews and get a judgment that condemns and punishes the countries that participated and contributed to the Palestinian tragedy and the suffering of our people”.

الدعوة مقامة من الدكتور عونى سليم الهابط “فلسطينى الجنسية، ضد كل من رئيس وزراء المملكة المتحدة ووزير الخارجية والمالية البريطانى وسفير المملكة المتحدة، بالقاهرة ووزير الخارجية الالمانى ووزير المالية وسفير المانيا بالقاهرة ورئيس الولايات المتحدة ووزير الخارجية والمالية الامريكى وسفير الولايات المتحدة بالقاهرة، وإلزام المدعى عليهم بجبر الضرر الذى اصاب الشعب الفسلطينى جراء فعلهم غير المشروع دوليا، وإجبارهم على التقدم بمشروع قرار لمجلس الامن الدولى باقامة الدولة الفلسطينية على حدود 1967 وعودة اللاجئين، وتعويضهم تعويضا جماعيا، وتعويض المدعى بمبلغ 2 مليون جنيه بالتضامن فيما بينهم لجلسة 17 مارس للمذكرات

كان الممثل القانونى للدكتور عونى سليم الهابط “فلسطينى الجنسية” ومؤسس الحملة الشعبية الفلسطينية لمقاضاة المملكة المتحدة البريطانية والولايات المتحدة الامريكية ودولة ألمانيا، قد تقدم بحافظة مستندات تفيد أنه بتاريخ 2 نوفمبر 1917 أصدر اللورد بلفور وزير خارجية بريطانيا وعده المشئوم فى صورة رسالة إلى روتشيلد الصهيونى، وأنه بهذا الوعد أعطى من لا يملك من لا يستحق، حيث ان مسئولية الدولة عن أفعالها غير المشروعة تقوم بمجرد انتهاكات لاحكام القانون الدولى ولا يتطلب الخطأ فى تقرير مسئوليتها اذ لا يمكن التعرف على ارادة الدولة اى هل ارتكبت هذا الانتهاك متعمدة أم كانت مهملة

فصدور وعد بلفور بإقامة وطن لليهود فى فلسطين بل الأكثر من ذلك بذل الحكومة البريطانية غاية الجهد لإقامة هذا الوطن والذى حققته الحكومة البريطانية فعلا على أرض الواقع والذى ترتب عليه ضياع وطن فلسطين وتهجير وإبادة الشعب وارتكاب المذابح الجماعية ضده، وهو فعل غير مشروع لانتهاكه احكام القانون الدولى وهو أساس المسئولية الدولية لحكومة المملكة المتحدة البريطانية عن مالحق بالشعب الفلسطينى منذ ان قامت دولة اسرائيل على حسابه، وتكون المملكة المتحدة مسئولة كاملا عن تعويض الشعب الفلسطينى فرديا وجماعيا ومن بينهم المدعى

وأضاف المدعى فى دعواه أن الحكومة الالمانية ارتكبت فعلا غير مشروع رتب مسئوليتها الدولية عن ما ارتكبته اسرائيل من جرائم فى حق الفلسطينين حين ساعدتهم على ارتكاب فعلها غير المشروع بأمدادها بالمال المخصص لاستقدام اليهود من كافة انحاء العالم وتوطينهم فى فلسطين وامدادهم بالسلاح، وأوضح مثال على ذلك اتفاقية التعويضات التى منحت بموجبها المانيا لاسرائيل مليارات الماركات

وتابع المدعى بأنه انتهكت حكومة الولايات المتحدة الامريكية جميع أحكام القانون الدولى وانتهكت المشروعية الدولية بما رتب مسئوليتها الدولية تجاه ما ارتكبته اسرائيل من عمل غير مشروع من ازالة وطن وشعب وجرائم تهجير قسرى بأن امدت اسرائيل بالمال والسلاح وساندتها فى المنظمات الدولية ضد الشعب الفلسطينى

وأكد المدعى أنه طبقا للمادة 163 من القانون المدنى المصرى على من ارتكب خطأ سبب ضرر للغير يلزم من ارتكبه بالتعويض ، وحيث ان اى فلسطينى مثل المدعى قد اصابته اضرار مادية ومعنوية، حيث ان محكمة القاهرة المدنية مختصة بنظر هذه الدعوى طبقا للمواد 30 و29 و49 من قانون المرافعات المدنية والتجارية حيث ان المدعى عليهم لهم موطن ومحل اقامة فى القاهرة وهى السفارة، وان جمهورية مصر العربية قد قامت بالتوقيع على المعاهدات الدولية الخاصة بالمعاقبة على جريمة ابادة الجنس البشرى وبمجرد التوقيع تعتبر المعاهدة جزء من القانون المصرى وتختص المحاكم بالفصل فى هذه الدعاوى، وحيث ان المدعى مقيم بجمهورية مصر العربية وتنص الاتفاقية الخاصة باللاجئين على التمتع بالشخصية القانونية وحقه فى التقاضى فى الدولة المقيم فيها بالاضافة إلى ان قطاع غزة تابع اداريا لجمهورية مصر العربية

Egypt: Heavy Prison Sentence For Minors Women

مصر: أحكام مشددة وقاسية على طالبات بينهن قاصرات والأزهر يفصل سبعمائة طالب

Cairo – Associated Press - An Alexandrian misdemeanors court sent shock-waves through Egypt on Wednesday when it sentenced 21 young girls, aged 15 to 22, to serve 11 years in prison for holding a peaceful protest supporting the ousted Islamist president Mohamed Morsy on the Corniche in the coastal city. Seven of the girls were minors, aged 15 to 17 were handed heavy prison sentences for protesting in a court ruling Wednesday that came a day after police beat and terrorized prominent female activists in a crackdown on secular demonstrators under a tough new anti-protest law.

The harshness of the sentences and the scenes a day earlier were new signs that the military-backed government is becoming bolder in silencing dissent, turning to abuses reminiscent of the Hosni Mubarak era. Authorities have been justifying tougher measures as needed to fight terrorism and bring stability, while they also appear to be exploiting divisions among secular democracy activists.

Human rights organizations have also heavily criticized the ruling, saying it marks a bolder resolve by the military-backed government to stifle dissent.

The crackdown is rearranging Egypt’s political map after months when authorities were focused on crippling the Muslim Brotherhood and other Islamist backers of ousted President Mohamed Morsi.

This week, security forces have moved against secular youth activists opposed to the military and police. Some government supporters warn that its actions are widening the base of the opposition and could bring together Morsi supporters and secular activists, though the latter bitterly oppose the Islamists and Morsi as equally authoritarian. The crisis is fragmenting the loose coalition of liberal and secular groups that supported the military in its July 3 removal of Morsi.

In a courtroom in Alexandria, the 21 young female defendants flashed defiant smiles to the media, standing handcuffed in white head scarves and white prison uniforms in the defendants’ cage. They were convicted on charges related to holding a protest Oct. 31 in the city demanding Morsi’s reinstatement.

Among them were seven girls ages 15 and 16, who were sentenced to prison terms until they turn 18. The rest most ages 18 to 22 were sentenced to 11 years in prison. Six other Brotherhood members were sentenced to 15 years in prison for inciting the demonstrations.

“We thought they will get a month or something, but we were shocked with the 11 years,” defense lawyer al-Shimaa Ibrahim Saad said.

Meanwhile, hundreds of secular youth activists protested Wednesday in downtown Cairo against the government’s clampdown on dissent. At the center of the crisis is the law issued this week banning any protests or public political gatherings of more than 10 people without a prior police permit, imposing stiff fines and jail terms for violators.

“Those thinking the authoritarian, pharaonic style works will find it doesn’t anymore,” said one protester, Laila Soueif. “There will be a third wave of the revolution much more violent than before. We are witnessing a turning point.

وأشارت المحكمة أمس إلى أن الفتيات متهمات بقطع الطريق وحيازة أسلحة بيضاء وإتلاف منشآت، كما عاقبت المحكمة ستة هاربين رجال، من بينهم القياديان البارزان علي عبد الفتاح، ومدحت الحداد، بالحبس 15 عامًا. إلى جانب معاقبة “محكمة الأحداث” سبع فتيات أخريات، تحت السن القانونية “قاصرات”، من الجماعة بالإيداع بمؤسسة دور رعاية الأحداث

وكانت محكمتا جنح سيدي جابر والأحداث بالإسكندرية، استأنفتا أمس، ثاني جلسات محاكمة 21 فتاة من المنتميات لجماعة الإخوان المسلمين، من بينهن سبع قاصرات، بعد اتهامهن بقطع الطريق، والتحريض على أحداث الشغب، على خلفية تنظيمهن فعاليات احتجاجية بكورنيش الإسكندرية، قامت على أثرها جماعة الإخوان بتنظيم العديد من المظاهرات في محافظات عدة اعتراضا على ذلك وتحت عنوان “حرائر مصر خط أحمر

ووجهت النيابة العامة للفتيات اتهامات بالانضمام إلى جماعة إرهابية، والتجمهر واستخدام القوة، وإتلاف المحال والعقارات، وتكدير السلم العام، وتعطيل مصالح المواطنين أثناء تظاهرهن

وفي رد فعل أولي، استنكرت قطاعات واسعة بالشارع المصري الحكم، وعدته صادما، وقال ناشطون من معارضي جماعة الإخوان المسلمين إن الحكم قاس، وبخاصة بالنظر إلى سن الفتيات الصغير، وأن كل جريمتهن هو التظاهر

في غضون ذلك، أعلن الأزهر الشريف عن فصل 700 طالب من جامعة الأزهر، بينهم وافدون، نتيجة تغيبهم عن المحاضرات في الجامعة، وذلك في مؤتمر رعاه الدكتور أحمد الطيب شيخ الأزهر، وحضره قيادات أزهرية مسؤولة في مشيخة الأزهر، بينهم الدكتور عباس شومان وكيل الأزهر، والسفير عبد الرحمن موسى مستشار شيخ الأزهر لشؤون المبعوثين. وحذر الشيخ جعفر عبد الله رئيس قطاع المعاهد الأزهرية بالأزهر الشريف، خلال افتتاح الموسم الثقافي لمعاهد البعوث الإسلامية بمقر معهد البعوث بنين بالقاهرة أول من أمس، الطلاب من الانصراف عن تحصيل العلم لأي أمور أخرى والانسياق وراء تيارات أو الانشغال بأمور سياسية، مشيرا إلى أنه “جرى فصل 700 طالب من الدول المختلفة نتيجة تغيبهم عن المحاضرات

وأثار قرار الأزهر بفصل الطلاب حفيظة طلاب الإخوان والوافدين، ورأوا أنها دعوة صريحة لمواصلة مسلسل فصل الطلاب، قائلين في لقاءات مع “الشرق الأوسط” إنه “كان واجبا على قيادات مشيخة الأزهر تهدئة الأوضاع وليس إشعالها داخل الجامعة”، مؤكدين أنهم سوف يواصلون مظاهرات التصعيد خلال الفترة المقبلة للتنديد بقرارات المشيخة والجامعة

وكانت الحكومة أظهرت أمس تحديها لرافضي قانون التظاهر، فأعلنت تمسكها بتطبيقه، ودعم جهاز الشرطة في مواجهة الإرهاب واحترامه لحرية الرأي والتعبير، وشددت على أنها لن تسمح بتراجع الدولة أمام قوى الإرهاب

وأبدى رئيس الوزراء حازم الببلاوي امتعاضه من تحدي ناشطين للقانون، وقال في مؤتمر صحافي إن الدولة من واجبها تطبيق القوانين على الجميع وأن يتم تعديل القوانين وفق المسارات القانونية… كل القوانين قابلة للتعديل ولكن في إطار القنوات الطبيعية والقانونية

وقوبلت تصريحات الببلاوي بمزيد من التحدي من ناشطين، إذ وقعت مواجهات بين الشرطة وعشرات المتظاهرين ضد قانون التظاهر في مدينة الإسكندرية الساحلية، استخدمت خلالها الشرطة قنابل الغاز لتفريق المحتجين، ما أدى إلى سقوط جرحى في صفوف المتظاهرين واعتقلت الشرطة بعضهم

وفي القاهرة، نظم مئات في ميدان طلعت حرب القريب من ميدان التحرير تظاهرة احتجاجاً على قانون التظاهر وطالبوا بالإفراج عن زملائهم الذين اعتقلوا خلال تظاهرات أول من أمس. وتخللت تلك الوقفة مواجهات بين المتظاهرين وعدد من أصحاب المتاجر وأشخاص بملابس مدنية تبادل فيها الطرفان الرشق بالحجارة

وكانت النيابة العامة أمرت أمس بحبس 24 من الموقوفين في تظاهرات أول من أمس 4 أيام على ذمة اتهامهم بخرق القانون، كما أمرت بتوقيف الناشطين السياسيين مؤسس “حركة شباب 6 أبريل أحمد ماهر وعلاء عبدالفتاح بتهمة “التحريض على التظاهر

واعتبرت حركة لا للمحاكمات العسكرية للمدنيين الداعية إلى إحدى التظاهرات التي استهدفتها الشرطة أول من أمس الاعتداء على المتظاهرين وتوقيف بعضهم جريمة تذكر بأيام الرئيس المخلوع حسني مبارك ومجلسه العسكري”. وأشارت إلى أن “المتظاهرين تعرضوا للضرب والإهانة من قوات الشرطة، كما تم التحرش جنسياً ببعض المتظاهرات على أيدي قوات الأمن أثناء فض الوقفة”. وشددت على أنها “ستلاحق أفراد الشرطة الذين اعتدوا على رفاق كفاحنا

The Ugly Face of Egypt After The Military Coup

الوجه القبيح لمصر بعد الإنقلاب العسكري – جامعة الأزهر على طريق الهاوية تسير – والعدالة تحولت لدمية قبيحة في يد العسكر؟

The entire Egyptian society was shocked and dismayed to see Al-Azhar University students were sentenced to prison terms of 17 years and a fine of 64 thousand each, (about $ 92400) because of a peaceful protest against the dictator leader of Al Azhar. The students were tried for allegedly trying to break into their own university. Meanwhile, those who kill or torture people or threaten the public with deadly weapons are not brought to trial or even jailed.

The undersigned organizations are strongly condemn the verdict by Al Gamaleya court of misdemeanor in case no. 7332/2013 on 12 November 2013 to sentence 12 students at El Azhar university to 17 years in prison and a bail of LE 6400 (US $9292) for non-implementation of the sentence.

The students had last been arrested during their demonstrations in front of the Azhar chiefdom on 30 October while protesting the arrest of a number of their colleagues and to express their opposition to the current authority, which they consider illegitimate. During their protest, members of Azhar security attacked the students with knives, arrested a number of them and held them inside the Azhar chiefdom premises before handing them over to the El Gamaleya police. The police documented the incident and summoned the prosecution, which then interrogated the students inside the police station.

The undersigned organizations recognize that the arrest of the students and putting them to trial is a violation of the right to demonstration and freedom of expression. The harsh sentences and conditioning their release with payment of such a high bail is a violation of the right to a fair trial. The undersigned organizations also reiterate that demonstration and expression of opinion through peaceful means is a human right, which Egyptian authorities must respect and protect and that the current political conflict in Egypt should not be used as a pretext to violate the right of any person to a fair trial.

Based on the above, the undersigned organizations believe that the respective court was at fault in its impartial implementation of the law and supporting the freedom of individuals. Aside from the accusations made by the prosecution against those students, whether true or false, the court has dealt with cruelty against the sentenced students, by punishing them for all charges raised by the public prosecution, despite all the charges being related to their arrest during their protest in front of Al Azhar chiefdom. This is considered a flagrant violation of the provisions of the Egyptian penal code which obliges criminal courts, in the case of indivisible, multiple crimes for the same purpose, to consider them all one crime and sentence the maximum penalty for those crimes.

Also, the court ordered the students to pay a bail of LE 64000 as a condition to stop the execution of the sentence and their release until the time of appeal, scheduled for 4 February 2014. Only one student could afford to pay this sum, while the rest of the students are still in detention until now. This very high sum for a bail and the remote date set for the appeal, according to which the students will remain in prison, indicates a tendency to harass those students, raising the possibility of a vengeful nature of the verdict, politically motivated and totally unrelated to the necessary respect and indiscriminate enforcement of justice.

The undersigned organizations believe that the security-driven policy towards the students’ movement at the current time threatens the independence of the university and the future of students’ rights and freedoms in Egypt, and raises concerns regarding the imposition of a tight security grip on campus life. During previous months, university administrations have abandoned reacting to student breaches though the specified disciplinary punitive measures and decided it was easier to leave the students prey to the authority of the police, with no regard to the impact this may have on their educational career or its impact on the escalation of acts of violence inside universities as well as deepen the rapidly increasing societal split in view of the ongoing political conflict.

Finally, the undersigned organizations call upon Al Azhar University to fully bear its responsibility and to immediately intervene and pay the necessary bails to release the students sentenced in the above mentioned case. Otherwise its position would indicate approval of the detention of those students until the time of their appeal, a matter of grave consequence to their academic career.

محكمة جنح الجمالية, حكمت يوم 13 من الشهر الجاري بالسجن بحق الطلبة المعتقلين عشوائيا (سبعة عشر عامًا وكفالة مالية تزيد 64 ألف جنيه؟؟) الأمر الذي هز مقولة نزاهة العدالة وأعاد مصر إلى عصور الظلام والديكتاتورية التي لم تعرفها عهود الأحتلال أو حتى في عصور الإنحطاط الحجري

مؤسسة حرية الفكر والتعبير، نظمت يوم أمس الاثنين، مؤتمرًا صحفيًا للتضامن مع طلاب الأزهر المحكوم عليهم بالسجن سبعة عشر عامًا وكفالة 64 ألف جنيه لإيقاف التنفيذ لحين الاستئناف، حيث كانت الأحكام بالحبس لمدة ٣ سنوات و٣٠ ألف جنيه كفالة لكل منهم في تهمة التجمهر، وفي تهمة البلطجة حبس ٣ سنوات وكفالة ٣٠ ألف جنيه، وتهمة التعدي على موظفين عموميين بالحبس ٣ سنوات وكفالة ألف جنيه لكل منهم، أما بالنسبة لتهمة إتلاف الممتلكات العامة حبس ٣ سنوات وكفالة ألف جنيه، وتهمة إتلاف الممتلكات الخاصة حبس سنتين وكفالة ألف جنيه، وتهمة حيازة أدوات تستعمل في الاعتداء على الأشخاص ٣ سنوات وكفالة ألف جنيه

وقال أحمد عزت، مدير الوحدة القانونية بمؤسسة حرية الفكر والتعبير، إن الشرطة زعمت اعتداء الطلاب على الموظفين ومبنى مشيخة الأزهر، خلال مظاهرة في 30 أكتوبر الماضي، ولا توجد في الأحراز أي أسلحة أو قنابل مولوتوف، بينما كانت عبارة عن “مجموعة من الأدوية، وزجاجات الخل، وأقنعة واقية من الغاز المسيل للدموع”، أي أن الأحراز التي قدمتها الشرطة تدل أن الطلاب كانوا يعبرون عن آرائهم بشكل سلمي، بالإضافة إلى القبض على الطلاب وقع بشكل عشوائي

وأضاف مدير الوحدة القانونية بالمؤسسة أن الأحكام في مثل هذه القضايا التي تتعدد فيها الاتهامات، لا تقبل التجزئة، وأشد عقوبة يمكن توقعها من المحكمة هي 3 سنوات على تهمة التجمهر، وتضمن الحكم مبلغ ضخم للكفالة (64 ألف جنيه لكل طالب)، يثبت أن الحكم القضائي مُسيس وبدافع الانتقام، وتعجيز الطلاب عن دفع هذه المبالغ الباهظة، ومن ثم عدم تمكنهم من حضور الامتحانات

وشدد «عزت» قائلًا كان ينبغي على القاضي التأني قبل إصدار حكم على الطلاب بهذه الرعونة الشديدة وبدون دراسة كافية، بدلًا من إصداره الحكم في الجلسة الأولى للمحاكمة، فهذا الحكم مؤشر خطير على عدم تحقيق العدالة وإهدار قيم القانون. كما أنه دليل على أن الجامعة لم تطبق على طلابها اللوائح الجامعية والتأديبية وتركتهم فريسة سهلة للشرطة، مما يوضح أن الجامعة في الآونة الأخيرة باتت تستخدم سياسة في غاية السوء، تؤدي إلى زيادة العنف والاحتقان وإهدار مبدأ استقلال الجامعات

Al-Sisi: An Upwardly Mobile Paranoiac Dictator

General Abdel Fattah al-Sisi is the new Egyptian military dictator who was suddenly turned into a star by using the lack of education and knowledge of the 16 million Egyptian illiterates to support his anti-coup of last May to counter the January 25 2011 revolution in Egypt. The illiteracy figure is a number published by the Egyptian Centre of Statistics on literacy in 2012.

The question is, what has General Al-Sisi achieved for his people since he came to power?
But more: Where did the millions of dollars pumped by Gulf countries into the Treasury of the Republic of Egypt disappear?
What are the solutions provided by General Al-Sisi and his government for the poor Egyptian in order to reduce the problems of poverty, famine and unemployment?
What he did he do to reduce the high numbers of the children begging in the streets of Egypt?
Where are the security and safety that he supposedly achieved in Egypt while the daily statistics of crimes, theft and wanton criminal attacks continue raising in his country?
Can Egyptian women walk ten steps in the streets of their towns without that a man gropes their bodies in indecent ways?
Where is the justice which his regime promised in the issue of the murder of University students on past October 6 2013?
Where are the freedoms of journalism and expressions under his autocratic regime?
How many journalists are held in jail and tried at military courts for the crime of telling the truth?
How many media organization has Al-Sisi closed?
Which are the positive achievements of the “roadmap government” which he appointed in Egypt?
How many female students has his government jailed and which are charges against them?
How many thousands of opposition activists have been jailed by Al-Sisi and how many of them were raped or sexually abused at his jails at the hands of his interrogators?
Since when is the systematic purging of the political opposition and their supporters considered a national achievement?
How manys million of dollars did he spend printing his images, which are now hanged everywhere in the country?

General Al-Sisi has inundated the Republic of Egypt with his images as a hero. He paid millions of Egyptian donation to print his pictures and hang them on walls all over the country. He divided the Egyptian people into rival and conflicted groups. While he has forbidden the religious Islamic Brotherhood, he has created religious groups which worship him so much that they created a Sura for him as in the holy Koran in return for a sandwich of Falafel and a dish of Hummus, and groups of thugs chant for him in the streets and break the head of everybody suspected of opposing the regime with heavy sticks.

Al-Sisi imposed a state of emergency on his country, he imprisoned more than 17.000 Egyptians without any recognizable legal grounds, and he has let his military courts impose harsh sentences on hundred of civilian detainees on insane grounds.

On August 13. 2013, his government has reappointed 17 military Generals and two Police Generals and six other figures of the dictatorial Mubarak regime throughout Egyptian provinces. A military general appointee, Gov. Mahmoud Othman Ateeq of Sohag, a former deputy governor in Alexandria, was filmed in 2011 raising a gun at a demonstration of teachers, who can be heard begging for their lives. (See the film below) There was no female among them.

In Cairo, the capital and most populous province, the new governor, Galal Mostafa Saed, was a senior figure in Mr. Mubarak’s old governing party. Mr. Saed had governed a smaller province before he was thrown out during the 2011 revolution.

Al-Sisi appointed Gen. Mohamed Farid el-Tohamy, who is responsible for rooting out government corruption, Al-Tohamy was appointed head of the general intelligence service, one of the most powerful positions in Egypt.

Under his power, several laws were issued which limit the freedom of opinion, expression and demonstration in Egypt.

The laws are against the freedoms and human rights and enacted by the Minister of Justice Adel Abdel Hamid and his assistant Omar Al-Sherif, who is in his post since the ruling of the autocratic Mubarak.

These laws are the protest law, the law of extending pre-trial detention period and the terrorism law, which has been termed the “anti-terrorism” law. In addition to other laws nd ministerial paractices as well as decisions that waste the human rights as well as the rights of those who are remanded in custody.

Also, Al-Sisi pressured the Constitutional Legislation Committee to issue further legislation that barricaded him and the army and give him absolute powers in the country.

This way of acting of course makes sense: like all dictatorships ruling by the grace of the CIA and the zionist international, Al-Sisi and his entourage know very well that neither they nor their supporters have friends anywhere, so their only way to cling to power is by deception, corruption and violence – any other way of ruling is made impossible by the incremental paranoia which affects all people who know that they are behaving wrongly, including the dictators of all ages.

Morsi At the Start Of The Trial: Down With The Military Rule!

CAIRO – As Egypt’s new military-led government consolidates its power, Mohamed Morsi, the deposed president, went on trial on Monday in a makeshift courtroom, facing charges of inciting the murder of protesters.

But soon after the trial opened, news reports said, with Mr. Morsi defiantly rejecting its authority and proclaiming himself to be Egypt’s legitimate president, state television said the case was adjourned until Jan. 8.

The hearing was Mr. Morsi’s first public appearance since his removal from office on July 3, and, in a dizzying turn for Egypt, the second criminal trial of a former head of state in less than three years. Former President Hosni Mubarak, ousted in February 2011 and now under house arrest in a military hospital, is still facing a retrial at the same venue, the auditorium of a police academy.

Journalists who were allowed into the courtroom were not allowed to bring telephones or other communications devices, limiting the flow of information. But news reports quoted eyewitnesses in the courtroom as recounting that Mr. Morsi declared: “This trial is illegitimate,” and said he was Egypt’s lawful president.

He is charged with inciting the murders of at least three protesters in a night of street fighting between his supporters and opponents outside the presidential palace in December. But rights advocates say the charges are selective at best.

The opening of the trial Morsi refused to wear the prison uniform. He also defended himself, rejected the legitimacy of the court and insisted he was the president of Egypt. Morsi said: “I am the legitimate president and he did not like the judiciary to be part of the military coup”.

As increasingly aggressive protesters began encircling the palace the night before the protesters were killed — even throwing Molotov cocktails over its walls — police refused to protect it. So on Dec. 5, leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood publicly called for the president’s Islamist supporters to do the job themselves, by force if necessary.

Hundreds of Islamists arrived that afternoon and forcibly evicted a small encampment the protesters had set up near the palace, and by nightfall thousands of Islamists were gathered to defend the site. Thousands of Mr. Morsi’s opponents attacked the Islamists and a night of deadly street fighting ensued, with rocks, Molotov cocktails and gunshots coming from both sides.

By morning, at least 11 people were dead, including at least eight supporters of the president and at least three non-Islamists, according to news reports. Prosecutors have not charged anyone over the Islamists’ deaths, and the charges against Mr. Morsi are related to the killing of three non-Islamists.

Mr. Morsi has been held incommunicado since his ouster, without access to his lawyer. A legal team preparing to represent him has said that he has spoken at least twice with his family over the telephone. But his supporters have said that they do not recognize the authority of the court, deeming the current military-backed government illegal and illegitimate.

A son of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, Yasser Abbas, is appealing a judge’s ruling last month tossing out a libel case against the Washington Post Company’s Foreign Policy magazine.

Yasser Abbas’s attorneys filed a notice Wednesday appealing U.S. District Court Judge Emmet Sullivan’s Sept. 27 decision dismissing the lawsuit under a District of Columbia law that allows for early termination of lawsuits stemming from statements on matters of public importance.

The suit objected to a commentary Foreign Policy published in June 2012 entitled, “The Brothers Abbas: Are the sons of the Palestinian president growing rich off their father’s system?” The piece was written by the Foundation for the Defense ofDemocracies’ Jonathan Schanzer, who was also named as a defendant in the case.

The appeal will go to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit.

A lawyer for the Washington Post Co., Kevin Baine, had no comment on the development. Attorneys for Abbas did not respond to messages seeking comment.

Williams & Connolly Seeks Legal Fees in Libel Suit

Attorneys from Williams & Connolly and Levine Sullivan Koch & Schulz are seeking more than $200,000 in legal fees and costs for their work fighting a libel suit filed in September 2012 against Foreign Policy magazine and a writer.

Yasser Abbas, the son of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, sued Foreign Policy over a June 2012 article written by Jonathan Schanzer, vice president for research at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies. Schanzer was also a defendant. U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan dismissed the case on Sept. 30. Abbas intends to take the fight to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit.

Williams & Connolly partner Kevin Baine, who focuses on First Amendment work, and associates Adam Tarosky and Elise Baumgarten, are seeking $100,481 in legal fees and costs. Levine Sullivan partner Nathan Siegel, an attorney for Schanzer, is asking for $107,174 in fees. Siegel worked on the case with Levine partner Seth Berlin and associate Shaina Jones. (Schanzer had his owner lawyers; he was not an employee of Foreign Policy.)

Baine said in a declaration, accompanying the Oct. 25 fee request, that Williams & Connolly gave Foreign Policy a 10 percent discount on rates. With the discount, Baine billed at $765 an hour. Baine said he clocked a little more than 25 hours in the case. Tarosky and Baumgarten submitted hourly rates of $409.50 and $342, respectively. (On top of the discount, Williams & Connolly, which employs about 250 lawyers, said the firm further reduced its fees in the case by an average of 12 percent per month.)

Tarosky, a sixth-year associate, and Baumgarten, a third-year associate, worked nearly 234 hours defending Foreign Policy magazine, accourding to Baine’s declaration. At the time the suit was filed, The Washington Post, for whom Baine had previously performed legal work over 30 years, owned Foreign Policy. Baine declined to comment today on the fee request.

Levine Sullivan, a boutique firm with 34 lawyers who specialize in First Amendment and media litigation, charged Schanzer an hourly rate of $390 for work and $195 for paralegals. The firm said in court papers that the rates were “as requested and negotiated by Dr. Schanzer’s insurer.” The rate amounted to a 20 percent discount from $575 rate that Siegel and Berlin typically charge, according to court records in the case. Levine Sullivan lawyers said the firm performed nearly 250 hours of attorney work for Schanzer. Siegel, based in Washington, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Baine and Siegel defended their legal fee request in the court filing. The attorneys compared their rates to other Washington lawyers with similar experience in the law. The attorneys pointed to a recent case where U.S. District Judge Richard Leon in Washington awarded attorneys for McKesson Corp. more than $450,000 in fees.

“[T]he rates charged by W&C are materially lower than rates recently approved by courts in this jurisdiction for attorneys of comparable reputation and experience in large law firms. Judge Leon, for example, recently approved rates for attorneys at Winston & Strawn of $780–810 for a senior partner, $525 for a fifth-year associate, and $390 for a first-year associate, all of which exceed the rates charged here.”
