Salam al Maseeh

The first Palestinian above all others is Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Let be accursed any gospel other than that which was preached at the beginning, received not from man but from Christ Jesus, thou alone, in whom we have redemption through thy all holy infinitely pure and undefiled blood, the remission of our sins, who in the future shall recreate the heavens and the earth, called by thine special choice, who before hoped in Christ with all who heard the word of truth and believed, sealed with the Holy Spirit of the promise, who is the pledge of our inheritance, to the redemption of the possession, for the praise of his glory, in faith in the Lord Jesus, and of love for all the saints in unceasing intercession of all the elect angels and saints of God, virgins, with all thanksgiving, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may grant us the spirit of wisdom and revelation in deep knowledge of him; the eyes of our minds being enlightened, to know the hope of his calling, the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, and the exceeding greatness of his power towards us who believe, according to the working of his mighty power wrought in Christ the only first born from the dead in the flesh raised above all things he made subject under his feet, we who hold him the head directly and no other, Christ Jesus our only Lord and Saviour immortal son of the immortal Father in the unity and power and bond of love of the immortal Holy Spirit our Paraclete unto the ages of the ages. Amen.

The Final Trial: Jesus Christ begotten of the Father - not made

A prayer of Isaias the Prophet.

Is. 26: 9-21

(Isaias' prophecy, which is also his prayer.)

O Lord our God, grant us peace. Out of the night my spirit waketh at dawn unto Thee, O God; for Thy commandments are a light upon the earth. Learn righteousness, all ye that dwell upon the earth. For the ungodly man hath come to an end; every one that learneth not righteousness upon the earth shall not be able to do truth; let the ungodly be taken away, that he may not see the glory of the Lord. O Lord, Thine arm is lifted up, and they knew it not; but when they know it, let them be put to shame. Zeal shall lay hold upon an untaught people, and now fire shall devour the adversaries. O Lord our God, bestow Thy peace upon us, for Thou hast given all things unto us. O Lord our God, take us for Thy possession. O Lord, we know no other beside Thee; we call upon Thy name. But the dead shall not see life, neither shall physicians raise them up; therefore hast Thou brought wrath upon them, and hast slain them, and hast taken every man of them away. Bring more evils upon them, Lord; bring more evils upon them that are glorious upon the earth. O Lord, in trouble we remembered Thee; with small affliction was Thy chastening with us. And as a woman in travail draweth nigh to be delivered, and crieth out in her travail, so have we become in the presence of Thy beloved. We have conceived, O Lord, because of Thy fear, and have suffered pangs, and have brought forth the spirit of Thy salvation, which we have wrought upon the earth. We shall not fail, but all those that dwell upon the earth shall fail. The dead shall arise, and they that are in the tomb shall awake, and they that are upon the earth shall rejoice. For the dew which Thou sendest is healing unto them; but the land of the ungodly shall perish. Go, my people, enter into thine inner chamber, shut thy door, hide thyself for a little season [during the Great Tribulation, hidden in mountains and dens and caves of the earth - there is NO secret rapture which is only an heretical apostate Lurianic Talmudic Judaic doctrine], until the anger of the Lord shall pass away.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

And see: The Abomination of Desolation

Note in the below that this is a description of the evil that precedes the Antichrist who is the Abomination of Desolation. Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ then comes after the reign of Antichrist has proceeded for a while. Antichrist, his reign and the False Prophet and all their followers are then destroyed by the Second Coming of Our Lord Jesus Christ from heaven with all His elect Angels and sent to hell forever. The saints will then reign with Our Lord Jesus Christ at their head on earth forever.

Palestine, which is properly the Holy Land for in it walked God in the flesh, Jesus Christ, and there He allowed Himself to be sacrificed for the salvation of those who profess Him from the heart and with the mouth, is a miniature of all the evil that has come upon the earth and there will the final evil be concentrated in its fullness and rule from there for a short time.

From: The Abomination of Desolation

Writing in the second century, St. Hippolytus wrote the following about the evil that will abound before the coming of Antichrist:

The temples of God will be like houses, and there will be overturnings of the churches everywhere. The Scriptures will be despised, and everywhere they will sing the songs of the adversary. Fornications, and adulteries, and perjuries will fill the land; sorceries, and incantations, and divinations will follow after these with all force and zeal. And, on the whole, from among those who profess to be Christians will rise up then false prophets, false apostles, impostors, mischief-makers, evil-doers, liars against each other, adulterers, fornicators, robbers, grasping, perjured, mendacious, hating each other. The shepherds will be like wolves; the priests will embrace falsehood; the monks will lust after the things of the world; the rich will assume hardness of heart; the rulers will not help the poor; the powerful will cast off all pity; the judges will remove justice from the just, and, blinded with bribes, they will call in unrighteousness.

CHAPTER XXVIII.

The resurrection of Christ. His commission to his disciples.

1 And *in the end of the sabbath, when it began to dawn towards the first day of the week,

18 And Jesus coming, spoke to them, saying: All power is given to me in heaven and in earth.

19 *Going, therefore, teach ye all nations: baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit;

20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and behold I am with you all days, even to the consummation of the world.

"Consummation of the world," - the end of this age of grace and the beginning of the eternal ages with Christ reigning visibly. This is the end of the eschaton and the beginning of the eternal recreated heavens and the earth and will begin when Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ returns from heaven in the same flesh He rose with and ascended into the third heaven with, seated at the right hand of the Father. His return will be with all of His elect angels. He will raise and judge all men in the flesh and then recreate the heavens and the earth, which in that state will last that way for eternity. There will NOT be any sin in the new heavens and earth, so prepare now by confessing the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit and be baptized as commanded above and shown how to baptize below and live Holy and Godly lives in sincerity and humility and meekness waiting for the Lord when He returns so that we are not like the five foolish virgins but are like the five wise virgins.

From the Didache (49 A.D. Council of Jerusalem):

Chapter 7. Concerning Baptism.

And concerning baptism, baptize this way: Having first said all these things, baptize the one to be baptized into Jesus Christ in "the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit," in running water. But if you have no running water, baptize into other water [still water]; and if you cannot do so in cold water, do so in warm. But if you have neither, pour out water three times upon the head onto the one to be baptized saying at that time "in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." But before the baptism, if possible, let the baptizer fast, and the baptized, and whoever else can; but you shall order the baptized [when there is time] to fast one or two days before.

Baptism can and should always be performed immediately when there is danger of death of the one to be baptized. For instance, impending martyrdom or possible death causing illness.

See this for why Jesus Christ must be confessed as the Holy Word and Son of God: The Final Trial: Mary - revered by both Christians and Muslims as the vessel through whom God made the Word, Jesus Christ, Incarnate

The Muslim feast of Eid only commemorates the typological sacrifice by Abraham of Issac. That prefigured the final and only Supreme Sacrifice of Jesus Christ on His Most Holy Cross. It is only by the Sacrifice of Christ on His Cross that we are saved. Jesus Christ commanded, not suggested, that we be baptized; echoing the rest of the Church Fathers, St. Augustine noted that if someone could not be baptized even though they wanted it and did everything they could to be baptized in the water in name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, then their confession of faith is enough for their salvation. But no where are we allowed to refuse baptism.

All Muslims and everyone who will, are invited and encouraged to come to the water of life now and be baptized in the water and in the Spirit in name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit and receive Communion.

Palestinian Children Face Violence From Israeli Military

march 20 arrest still 4 cropped

Pic Credit: CPT
Three in four Palestinian children detained by the Israeli military in the occupied West Bank last year endured physical violence during arrest and interrogation, according to Defense for Children International Palestine research.
Data compiled by DCI-Palestine from 98 affidavits of Palestinian children aged 12 – 17 also showed that night arrests between midnight and 5 am increased to 56.1 percent from 45.4 percent in 2012. In 21.4 percent of cases, Israeli military, police and security agents held children in solitary confinement for an average of 10 days for interrogation purposes.
“Despite international condemnation and awareness of Israel’s widespread and systematic ill-treatment of Palestinian child prisoners, there have been no practical steps taken to curb violations,” said Ayed Abu Eqtaish, Accountability Program director at DCI-Palestine. “The international community must demand justice and accountability.”
Israel is the only state to automatically and systematically prosecute children in military courts that lack basic standards of due process. Around 500 – 700 Palestinian children, some as young as 12, are arrested, detained and prosecuted in the Israeli military detention system each year. The majority of Palestinian child detainees are charged with throwing stones. No Israeli children come into contact with the military court system.
DCI-Palestine research shows that children arrive to Israeli interrogation centers blindfolded, bound and sleep deprived. Unlike their Israeli counterparts, Palestinian children have no right to be accompanied by a parent during an interrogation. In 96 percent of cases documented by DCI-Palestine in 2013, children were questioned alone and rarely informed of their rights, particularly their right against self-incrimination.
The interrogation techniques are generally mentally and physically coercive, frequently incorporating a mix of intimidation, threats and physical violence with a clear purpose of obtaining a confession. More than one in five of the 2013 cases, children signed statements in Hebrew, a language they do not understand.

DCI-Palestine demands that Israeli authorities end night arrests, prohibit the use of solitary confinement, and ensure that evidence obtained by force or coercion during interrogations is excluded as evidence in the Israeli military courts. DCI-Palestine calls on Israeli authorities to allow access to legal counsel prior to interrogations and the presence of a parent during interrogations.
Impunity for violations was a significant obstacle in 2013 as DCI-Palestine filed 15 complaints with Israeli authorities concerning the ill-treatment and torture of 10 children while in Israeli military detention. Not a single indictment has been issued against a perpetrator. Many Palestinian families refuse to file complaints for fear of retaliation or simply because they do not believe the system is fair or impartial.
Recent amendments to Israeli military laws concerning children have had little to no impact on their treatment during the critical 24 – 48 hours after an arrest, where most of the ill-treatment occurs at the hands of soldiers, policemen and interrogators.

World Cancer Day Raises Issue Of Treatment for Patients in Gaza

mythsWorld Cancer Day – INCB reiterates the right to access internationally controlled narcotic drugs for the relief of pain and suffering
At the opening of the 109th session of the International Narcotics Control Board (INCB), a day before the World Cancer Day on 4 February, INCB President Raymond Yans reaffirmed the importance of the international drug control conventions in ensuring the availability and rational use of narcotic drugs for the relief of pain and suffering. “All people have the right to access internationally controlled narcotic drugs for the relief of pain and suffering” said Mr. Yans, pointing to the global increase in cancer cases, particularly in developing countries, and to the disparities in the availability of opioid painkillers.
Often seen as a disease of rich countries, international data show that over 70 per cent of cancer deaths occur in low- and middle-income countries. There were 32.6 million people (over the age of 15 years) who had been diagnosed with cancer in the past five years, according to 2012 international data. Projections of the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), the specialized cancer agency of the World Health Organization, predict a substantive increase to 19.3 million new cancer cases per year by 2025, due to growth and ageing of the global population. More than half of all cancers (56.8 per cent) and cancer deaths (64.9 per cent) in 2012 occurred in less developed regions of the world, and these proportions are likely to increase further by 2025.
This year, World Cancer Day is marked around the world as patients in the Gaza Strip continue to struggle in the absence of appropriate health care. Necessary medications and treatments are often not found in Gaza due to the stifling Israeli closure. There is currently only one MRI scanner for diagnoses, located at the Gaza European Hospital; however, the machine hasn’t worked for two months as Israeli authorities have denied transportation of a needed device for the machine. The hospitals in Gaza also lack materials for sample tinctures and nuclear and PET (positron emission topography) scans.
Chemical medication is also desperately needed as supplies are often back logged several months. There is also a significant lack of psychological support and Palliative care, which relieves suffering and enables patients to continue their lives naturally.

Patients often need to be referred for treatment outside the Gaza Strip in order to be able to receive medication; however, the Israeli restrictions on movement and access prevent many patients from travelling to Israel or the West Bank to receive medical treatment. Being unable to diagnose or treat cancer effectively, patients are at an unnecessary risk of dying.
Al Mezan for Human Rights feels the suffering and pain of cancer patients in the Gaza Strip particularly in their inability to access their right to health. Al Mezan asserts the importance of working together to enable cancer patients to realize their rights. Al Mezan calls for the:
1. International community to uphold its moral and legal responsibility and to work immediately to ensure that Palestinians in the Gaza Strip can access their right to health;
2. International community to immediately intervene to end Israeli collective punishment and to oblige Israel to uphold its legal responsibilities in ensuring access to healthcare and medical treatment for people in occupied Palestine; and
3. End to the Palestinian internal political split and the separation of service areas from political conflicts to ensure better management of the health sector.

2014: International Year of Solidarity With the Palestinians

01-16-2014Palestin_Logo- Credit- UN DPI

Credit- UN DPI
UNIS – The United Nations today launched the International Year of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, with senior officials urging that the observance be used to redouble efforts to achieve a durable peace between Israel and Palestine.
“The coming year will be crucial to achieving the two-State solution,”Deputy Secretary-General Jan Eliassonsaid in his remarks to the UN General Assembly’s Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People.
Mr. Eliasson said Israeli and Palestinian negotiators are working hard towards a peaceful, comprehensive settlement of all permanent status issues. That means a settlement that ends the occupation that started in 1967 and which would end the conflict.
It also means securing an independent, viable and sovereign State of Palestine living alongside a secure State of Israel, where each side recognizes the other’s legitimate rights, he added.
“The Secretary-General and I urge all in the international community to work together to translate the solidarity and desire for peace expressed on this occasion into positive action for security and for justice.”
Last November, the General Assembly adopted a resolution proclaiming 2014 as the International Year of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, and requested the Committee to organize activities around the observance.
General Assembly President John Ashe told today’s meeting that he hoped the Year leads to “robust” support for the people of Palestine. “I am sure I speak for many when I say that I hope the Year helps foster an atmosphere of dialogue and mutual understanding between the two sides of this decades-long conflict,” he said.
“We live in an international context that requires cooperation among all parties, entities and beings to find solutions to the challenges facing the human family. There are no exceptions; Israel and Palestine must find agreement on the conditions in which they can live side by side in peace and security.”

UN officials, including Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, have noted that 2014 could be a an important year in the Middle East peace process, if both sides are willing to take bold steps and refrain from actions that undermine progress in the peace talks that resumed last year.
“Now is the time for vision, compromise and deepening of respect. Let us make this year – 2014 – the decisive year for achieving peace between Israel and Palestine,” said Mr. Ashe. “I implore all those who have a stake in this outcome – Governments, international organizations, and people everywhere – to do their part.”

Risk Following Exposure to Radiation Differs For Adults and Children

DSC_8312UNSCEAR report says: “Doses received by children and adults from the same source of ionizing radiation can have differing  impacts, and therefore, should be considered separately in order to predict risk following exposure more accurately for children,” was the main thrust of the report “Effects of radiation exposure of children” presented today at the United Nations headquarters in New York.
The report, which has been prepared by the United Nations Scientific Committee  on  the  Effects of  Atomic Radiation (UNSCEAR), has been in preparation over the last two years (since 2011) and was presented today to  the UN General Assembly as part of the Report of the 60th session of UNSCEAR to the General Assembly.
“Because of their anatomical and physiological differences, radiation exposure has a different impact on children compared with adults,” said Dr. Fred Mettler, Chair of the Expert Group on the UNSCEAR Report on Effects of Radiation Exposure of Children. He presented the report as a valuable resource for the international medical and scientific community, because as such, children are generally assessed along with adults in Epidemiological studies and comprehensive overviews of the effect of radiation on children are generally unavailable.
DSC_8310The report highlights some important issues. For instance, for a given radiation dose, infants and children are more at risk than adults of developing a variety of tumours.  This risk is, generally, not always immediate but extends later into life. In all, the Committee reviewed 23 cancer types in their report, some of which are highly relevant for evaluating the radiological consequences of nuclear accidents and of some medical procedures. Children were found to be more sensitive than adults for the development of about 25 per cent of tumour types including leukaemia, and thyroid, brain and breast cancer. The risk can be significantly higher, depending on circumstances. On the other hand, for about 15 per cent of cancer types such as colon, children were found to have the same radiation sensitivity as adults, and for 10 per cent of cancer types, such as those affecting the lungs, children were less sensitive than adults. Data were too weak to reach any conclusions for 20 per cent of cancers such as those affecting the oesophagus and there was a weak or non-existent link between exposure and risk at any age for 30 per cent of cancers such as those of the prostate, rectum and uterus or Hodgkin’s disease.

For tissue effects  that  may occur soon after very high doses, the Committee concluded  that  as  seen with carcinogenesis, there are some instances in which childhood exposure  poses a higher risk than adult exposure (e.g. for effects on the brain, and for cataracts and thyroid nodules). There are other instances where the risk appears to be about the same (e.g. neuroendocrine system and on the kidneys) and there are a few instances where children’s tissues are more resistant (lung, marrow and ovaries).
“It is not recommended to use the same generalizations used for adults when considering the risks and effects of radiation exposure during childhood,” said Dr. Mettler. “The specifics of the exposure and situation play a significant role,” he added.
The report also concluded that no heritable effects in offspring due to radiation exposure of their parents as children themselves had been explicitly identified in humans – including in the offspring of people who survived the atomic bombings as children.
DSC_8314It also pointed out that health effects are also dependent on a number of physical factors. For instance, when it comes to internal exposure to radiation, there are differences in the doses received by children and adults from exposure to the same distribution of radioactive material in the environment. For example, children may receive higher doses from Radioiodine in the environment due to higher intake of milk compared to adults.
Similarly, as infants and children have smaller body diameters, and their organs are less shielded by overlying tissues, with the same exposure the doses to their internal organs is higher than that to an adult. In addition, both metabolism and physiology vary with age, which also affects the concentrations of radio-nuclides in different organs and thus the dose to those organs for a given intake.
Infants and children can also receive significantly higher doses than adults in situations such as medical exposure if the technical settings are not adapted appropriately.

security-33UN – Members of the Security Council have stressed the importance of ending violence in Egypt following the killing and wounding of scores of people when security forces moved in to clear sit-ins in Cairo on Wednesday.
The Security Council met behind closed doors late on Thursday to hear a briefing by UN Deputy Secretary-General Jan Eliasson in the wake of Wednesday’s violence.
Ambassador Maria Cristina Perceval of Argentina, the President of the Security Council during the month of August, briefed reporters on what transpired during the Council meeting.
“The members, first of, all expressed their sympathy to the victims and regretted the loss of lives. The view of Council members is that it’s important to end the violence in Egypt and that the parties exercise maximum restraint, and there was a common desire on the need to stop the violence and to advance national reconciliation.”
United Nations officials, including the UN Secretary-General and independent human rights experts, have expressed concern about the violence in Egypt.
human rightOn the other hand, UN human rights chief calls for dialogue to end crisis in Egypt. The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Navi Pillay, deplores the loss of life in Egypt and she is calling on all in Egypt to seek a way out of the violence that reportedly killed and injured hundreds of demonstrators.
“I deplore the loss of life and call on all in Egypt to seek a way out of the violence. I urge the Egyptian authorities and security forces to act with the utmost restraint,” said Navi Pillay, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights.
“What is needed is genuinely inclusive reconciliation. I therefore appeal again to all sides to engage in urgent dialogue to avoid further violence and hate speech, with the aim of restoring constitutional order through free and democratic elections.” she added.

Elizabeth Throssell, the spokesperson for the UN Human rights office in Geneva, says there is a need for an investigation as to what happened and why people responsible for the violence on any side should be held to account.

She tells UN Radio’s Patrick Maigua in Geneva that the High Commissioner is also calling on the Egyptian authorities and security forces to act with utmost restraint and for the people who are protesting to do so peacefully.

Ashton Holds Talks With Ousted President Morsi

EGYPTAshton’s spokesperson Maja Kocijancic confirmed that High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Vice-President of the European Commission Catherine Ashton met ousted Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi on Monday evening and talked with him for two hours “deep conversation. Morsi was overthrown by a military coup on July 3. He had been held incommunicado since his ouster. According to some reports Ashton was flown by helicopter and Morsi is held outside of Cairo.
Ashton told reporters in Cairo that her meeting with Morsi took place at an undisclosed location. She said: “I saw where Morsi and what facilities he has, but I don’t know where he is”. She said: “he has access to information, in terms of TV and newspapers, so we were able to talk about the situation and we were able to talk about the need to move forward”.
Egypt’s authorities accused Morsi of collaborating with Hamas in the Gaza Strip and escaping detention during protests against former autocrat Hosni Mubarak in 2011.
Ashton tries to make reconciliation between Egypt’s rulers and the Muslim Brotherhood and to pull the country back from more bloodshed as one of the only EU outsiders that is accepted by both sides as a potential mediator.
Foreign countries are urging the military-backed rulers to reach compromise with Morsi’s Brotherhood to bring the country back from the brink of further bloodshed. On Saturday July, 27 2013 over 120 Brotherhood supporters were gunned down and more than 440 were injured among them at least hundred in critical at the intensive care units in the hospitals.

The government has ordered the Brotherhood to abandon a vigil it has maintained with thousands of supporters camping out to demand Morsi’s return. The Brotherhood says it will not leave the streets unless Morsi is restored.
Brotherhood spokesman Gehad El-Haddad said: “It’s very simple, we are not going anywhere”.
The violence has raised global anxiety that the army may try to crush the Brotherhood, a movement which emerged from decades in the shadows to win power in elections after Egypt’s 2011 Arab Spring uprising against Hosni Mubarak.
On the other hand, Ashton met General Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, the head of the army and the man who overthrew Egypt’s first freely-elected president. She also held talks with members of Road-map government appointed by the army and with representatives of the Freedom and Justice Party, the Brotherhood’s political wing.
Thousands of Brotherhood supporters have been camped out for a month at Cairo’s Rabaa al-Adawiya mosque, demanding Morsi’s reinstatement and defying threats by the army-backed authorities to remove them.
