The Angel’s Explanation

mystery of the woman and of the beast which carrieth her, which hath the

8 The beast which thou sawest, was, and
is not, and shall come up out of the bottomless pit and go into
destruction. And the inhabitants on the earth (whose names are not
written in the book of life from the foundation of the world) shall

[1] -Ver:-5. A mystery: the name is not literal but symbolical and its
meaning is that it will be revealed in due time. (mystery in Greek is
musterion, that is “revealed”). In the final ‘universal recapitulation
of evil’ (St. Irenaeus’ expression) the “woman” who is the “great
harlot” will be the recapitulation of all the diabolic, demonic,
gnostic, infidel, false religion of the world since Adam. In short,
today it is the Pan-heresy of the Ecumenical movement (utterly opposed
by Mortalium Animus, Pius XI, 1928), which is the culmination of
modernist Judeo-Mason blasphemy of: the True God and His Christ and the
Holy Spirit. This Pan-heresy is centered at Rome in the Vatican since 1958 especially, and has permeated all churches; this is the great apostasy that St.
Paul the Apostle warned us about (see: 2 Thess.2:3, 6, 7). He who holds
the great apostasy back (2 Thess: 2:6, 7) until the appointed time is
Jesus Christ Himself, according to St. Justin Martyr. The beast that the
woman rides is the world’s political-religious systems opposed to the
True God, the Trinity, Who is the Creator and Ruler over all. These
taken together are the precursor of the final beast of verse 11 which
includes all the former systems within it.

[2] -Ver. 11. The beast spoken of here seems to be the Roman Empire,
as in chapter 13. At the end of days it will be the final world system
opposing Christ and His Church. This world system will be, according to
the Church Fathers and Doctors of the Church, the one world empire of
the Antichrist who is the son of perdition, headquartered in the rebuilt
Solomonic temple in Jerusalem. 

See 2 Thessalonians 2nd chapter. This is the ultimate Babylon and is utterly damned by Christ and His Church. “Such a secular, earthbound state [Israel]could easily become the political and military power base for theAntichrist when he comes. For the Antichrist will be in perfect accordwith the ideals of such a Zionist state. Moreover, the State of Israelhas demonstrated that it has the will and ability to go to war and winthe secular goals to which its heart is attached. Thus when theAntichrist comes to power as head of such an efficient, superblyequipped, scientific State, founded on nationalism, race and blood, hewill be able to conquer the rest of the world. He will be the first, theonly Jew to reign with political, economic, military power over thewhole world from his capital city, Jerusalem, the city in which Our Lordwas crucified” (Fr. Vincent Miceli, S.J., The Antichrist, p. 152).

[3] - Ver. 12. One hour: ten other kingdoms are allies of the beast and
battle against the Church. But their dominion is short; typified as an
hour. These occur at the same time and not in succession.
[4] - Ver. 17. The Greek text reads: “. . . to
do his purpose and to make common cause and to give their kingdom. . . :”
[5] - Ver. 18. …great city which hath kingdom over the kings of the earth.:
at the time that the Apocalypse was seen and recorded by St. John the
Apostle, that city was Rome, Italy, of the seven hills (1 – Janiculum
with the Vatican on the lower slope today, 2 – Aventine, 3 – Palatine
with the Capitoline and the Tiburtine oracle, 4 – Caelian, 5 –
Esquiline, 6 – Viminal, 7 – Quirinal), in the future it will be
Jerusalem of the seven hills (1 – The Citadel, 2 – Acra, 3 – Temple
Mount, 4 – Mount of Olives, 5 – Mt. Scopus, 6 – Mt Zion, 7 – Golgotha)
when the Antichrist rules from there. The eighth head which is a king
and has dominion over the kingdoms of the earth and therefore is
identified with that world wide (ecumenical in the narrow sense) kingdom
as well, was Caesar, in the days of ancient Rome.


Caesar was ruler over Rome, the Pontifex Maximus (head of all Roman
religion) and Princeps Senatus – first member by precedence of the Roman
Senate (therefore functional dictator without the title); and also the
Emperor (Imperator) over the Roman Empire. In the future the eighth head
ruling over Jerusalem and having world wide dominion for a short space will be the
Antichrist who will be a Jew - see: Antichrist will be a Jew. The exact arrangement of how that will be enacted is known to God.

Have nothing to do with the Antichrist and do not take the Mark of the Beast upon pain of eternal damnation in hell.

Secondarily, one of the insuperable problems with the Novus Ordo sect is their TOTAL lack of an ordinary magisterium that teaches 2,000 year old Catholic Truth. I well remember before V2 that we were taught from the ordinary magisterium by the Parish Priest, who knew what he was talking about, and relied first of all on the Gospel and Epistle of the day for his sermons - they were to the point and taught the Truth of Our Lord Jesus Christ. If anyone, including "popes," were to suggest the things that the Vatican has suggested for decades we would have totally rejected it. Several years of subterfuge and brow beating set the stage for only the church goer willing to compromise and accept the lies of V2 to be left in any great numbers. V2 changed it all from the head of the serpent to the tail. Prior to V2 it was NOT of course a serpent, but instead was the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ which He by His Almighty power and authority established on His Cross and at His Resurrection and Ascension and at Pentecost by the Holy Spirit. Before V2 we were Traditional only in the correct sense, that is of paradosis or following the teaching of the Apostles from Pentecost on. Now there is something called traditionalism as if it were a fad or merely a preference or an excuse to elevate a Pope above everything, but only if it is the "right" Pope. When Peter would have had Christ deny His very mission and the sole means of salvation for us, His All Holy Cross and Passion, our Lord turned to Him and utterly sternly said, "get behind me Satan." See: Mark 8:33 Who turning about and seeing his disciples, threatened Peter, saying: Go [get] behind me, Satan, because thou savorest not the things that are of God, but that are of men. 

It is very evolutionary, first we have the Novus Ordo Great Apostasy and then the loyal resistance, it matters not whether they are Novus Ordo conservatives or recognize and resist Traditionalists (Traditionalists - sounds like a cult of minor league proportions, not the size but impact) or Sedevacantists (again sounds cult like) etc. First Satanic thesis and then the antithesis which is ameliorating soft resistance/sort of rejection of the Novus Ordo - then will come in very short order the synthesis of these two by the Antichrist and voila "peace and security" for all - see: 1 Thessalonians 5:3 For when they shall say, peace and security; then shall sudden destruction come upon them, as the pains upon her that is with child, and they shall not escape.

Instead of cowering inside the gates of hell/Babylon and pretending to fight for the truth by wimpering upon deaf ears of seared consciences that have no capacity left to repent, we must follow what Christ said:

CONCERNING THE NOVUS ORDO: Matthew 15:14 Let them alone: they are blind, and leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both will fall into the pit.

CONCERNING THOSE WHO HAVE NOT HEARD THE GOOD NEWS YET (and they still exist) Matthew 22:9 Go ye therefore into the highways; and as many as you shall find, call to the marriage.

NO more wasting time and effort and prayer, follow what Our Lord said to do.

The plans were submitted for approval by Israel's interior minister, Eli Yishai, a member of the religious, rightwing Shas party. They are likely to be backed by the prime minister, Binyamin Netanyahu, who is competing with Shas for the support of Jewish settlers and rightwing voters. Netanyahu has repeatedly said that Israel regards itself as free to build anywhere it chooses within the area it defines as Jerusalem, which cuts deeper into the West Bank since the municipal boundaries were extended after the occupation of the east of the city began in 1967.

Givat Hamatos would be the first major new Jewish settlement since Netanyahu approved the construction of nearby Har Homar in 1997, during his first term as prime minister.

The government has sought to minimise the significance of the plans by saying they have been around for several years and that no final decision has been taken. The proposal was originally drafted three years ago and then put on hold. But last week, with attention focused on the pending release of Gilat Shalit after five years captivity in Gaza, they were quietly revived and submitted for a 60-day public comment period, a last step before a final vote on approval. The decision will be made by the Jerusalem municipal council where there is broad support for settlements.

The move was welcomed by David Hershovitz, a rightwing member of the city council's planning committee. He told the Jerusalem Post: "Givat Hamatos is a prerequisite for massive building in Jerusalem."

Saeb Erekat, the chief Palestinian negotiator, said the Givat Hamatos proposal "makes a mockery of … international efforts to bring about a just and lasting peace."

On Sunday, the British foreign secretary, William Hague, condemned "this provocative step, which further encloses East Jerusalem". Catherine Ashton, the EU foreign policy chief, described the Givat Hamatos plans as "deplorable". She said the plans undermine peace efforts by breaching Israel's responsibility to create "an environment of trust conducive to negotiations".

The UN secretary general, Ban Ki-moon, said the Givat Hamatos plans are "contrary to international law".

"Recent developments in this regard have been unacceptable, particularly as efforts are ongoing to resume negotiations," he said.

Margalit said that he believes the government is deliberately seeking to undermine attempts to revive talks.

"From the one side, Netanyahu says he is ready to negotiate; from the other, the government does this and undermines any possibility of negotiations with the Palestinians," he said.

God's different dealings with the Egyptians, and with his own people.

1 For these things, and by the like things to these, they were worthily punished, and were destroyed by a multitude of beasts.

2 Instead of which punishment, dealing well with thy people, *thou gavest them their desire of delicious food, of a new taste, preparing for them quails for their meat:

3 To the end, that they indeed desiring food, by means of those things that were shewn and sent among them, might loathe even that which was necessary to satisfy their desire.  But these, after suffering want for a short time, tasted a new meat.

4 For it was requisite that inevitable destruction should come upon them that exercised tyranny: but to these it should only be shewn how their enemies were destroyed.

5 *For when the fierce rage of beasts came upon these, they were destroyed with the bitings of crooked serpents.

6 But thy wrath endured not for ever, but they were troubled for a short time for their correction, having a sign of salvation, to put them in remembrance of the commandment of thy law.

7 For he that turned to it, was not healed by that which he saw, but by thee, the Saviour of all.

8 And in this thou didst shew to our enemies, that thou art he who deliverest from all evil.

9 *For the bitings of locusts, and of flies killed them, and there was found no remedy for their life: because they were worthy to be destroyed by such things.

10 But not even the teeth of venomous serpents overcame thy children: for thy mercy came and healed them.

11 For they were examined for the remembrance of thy words, and were quickly healed, lest falling into deep forgetfulness, they might not be able to use thy help.

12 For it was neither herb, nor mollifying plaster, that healed them, but thy word, O Lord, which healeth all things.

13 *For it is thou, O Lord, that hast power of life and death, and leadest down to the gates of death, and bringest back again:

14 A man indeed killeth through malice, and when the spirit is gone forth, it shall not return, neither shall he call back the soul that is received:

15 But it is impossible to escape thy hand:

16 *For the wicked that denied to know thee, were scourged by the strength of thy arm, being persecuted by strange waters, and hail, and rain, and consumed by fire.

17 And which was wonderful, in water, which extinguisheth all things, the fire had more force: for the world fighteth for the just.

18 For at one time, the fire was mitigated, that the beasts which were sent against the wicked might not be burnt, but that they might see, and perceive that they were persecuted by the judgment of God.

19 And at another time the fire, above its own power, burnt in the midst of water, to destroy the fruits of a wicked land.

20 *Instead of which things, thou didst feed thy people with the food of angels, and gavest them bread from heaven, prepared without labour; having in it all that is delicious, and the sweetness of every taste.

21 For thy sustenance shewed thy sweetness to thy children, and serving every man's will, it was turned to what every man liked.

22 *But snow and ice endured the force of fire, and melted not: that they might know that fire, burning in the hail, and flashing in the rain destroyed, the fruits of the enemies.

23 But this same again, that the just might be nourished, did even forget its own strength.

24 For the creature serving thee, the Creator, is made fierce against the unjust for their punishment; and abateth its strength for the benefit of them that trust in thee.

25 Therefore even then it was transformed into all things, and was obedient to thy grace, that nourisheth all, according to the will of them that desired it of thee:

26 That thy children, O Lord, *whom thou lovedst, might know that it is not the growing of fruits that nourisheth men, but thy word preserveth them that believe in thee:

27 For that which could not be destroyed by fire, being warmed with a little sunbeam, presently melted away:

28 That it might be known to all, that we ought to prevent the sun to bless thee, and adore thee at the dawning of the light.

[1] -Ver. 1. A woman: this woman is not the Blessed Virgin, for the details of the prophecy do not fit her. The prophecy pictures the Church of the Old and New Covenants. The beams of the divine glory clothe her; the moon is beneath her feet; she is crowned with a crown of twelve stars (the Twelve Apostles [Judas Iscariot is replaced of course]), and she must bring forth Christ to the world. By accommodation the Church applies this verse to the Blessed Virgin, but in no sense making her a goddess or the head over the Church, for Jesus Christ Himself is the only God in the flesh and the only head over the Church.

[2] -Ver. 11. In face of death: a noteworthy expression, meaning they esteemed life as nothing in comparison with loyalty to their faith, even unto martyrdom.

Daniel 8:

10 And it was magnified even unto the strength of heaven: and it threw down of the strength, and of the stars, and trod upon them.
11 And it was magnified even to the prince of the strength: and it took away from him the continual sacrifice, and cast down the place of his sanctuary.
12 And strength was given him against the continual sacrifice, because of sins: and truth shall be cast down on the ground, and he shall do and shall prosper.

DIOCLETIAN AND MITHRA IN THE ROMAN FORUM

THE sculptured base of an imperial memorial column that lies somewhat one-sidedly in the Roman Forum near the arch of Septimius Severus has suffered from the contempt with which works of the decadence are usually treated. I am not aware that it has ever been adequately described or illustrated. If, however, I am right in my interpretation of part of its reliefs it is of unique importance from the religious and historical points of view. I believe that it contains a representation of the god Mithra as the patron deity of the Roman Empire, in a scene of imperial sacrifice where Diocletian officiates, so confirming the Carnuntum inscription in which Diocletian and his associates proclaimed Mithra the protector of the empire, fautor imperii sui.1

If this is true then it is the first and only Roman work of art which officially recognizes the Mithraic supremacy. That it does so in Rome itself and in the very Forum in a triumphal imperial monument makes it doubly important; as well as that it does so only a few years before the triumph of Christianity. There appear to have been originally two of these large bases of white marble supporting columns more than a metre in diameter. Dr. Hiilsen2 supposes that they were placed by Diocletian in front of the Curia, when he rebuilt it, on either side of the stairway leading up to it from the Forum. One of these bases was discovered about 1500 A.D., and had the inscription AUGUSTORUMj

It is described as having reliefs representing a sacrificial scene. It has been destroyed, and we have

no drawings and no further traces of it. The second, and apparently companion, base was excavated in 1547 in front of the Curia (S. Adriano) and still remains not far from the site of its

Mithra, also spelled Mithras, Sanskrit Mitra, in ancient Indo-Iranian mythology, the god of light, whose cult spread from India in the east to as far west as Spain, Great Britain, and Germany. He soon rode, and later killed, the life-giving cosmic bull, whose blood fertilizes all vegetation. Mithra’s slaying of the bull was a popular subject of Hellenic art and became the prototype for a bull-slaying ritual of fertility in the Mithraic cult. As god of light, Mithra was associated with the Greek sun god, Helios, and the Roman Sol Invictus. He is often paired with Anahita, goddess of the fertilizing waters.

The structure of the cult of Mithra was hierarchical. Members went through a series of seven grades, each of which had a special symbol and a tutelary planet (wandering star). From lowest to highest these grades were Corax (raven, under Mercury), Nymphus (a made-up word meaning male bride, under Venus), Miles (the soldier, under Mars), Leo (the lion, under Jupiter), Perses (the Persian, under Luna, the moon), Heliodromus (the Sun's courier, under Sol, the sun), and finally Pater (father, under Saturn).
