Note in the below that this is a description of the evil that precedes the Antichrist who is the Abomination of Desolation. Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ then comes after the reign of Antichrist has proceeded for a while. Antichrist, his reign and the False Prophet and all their followers are then destroyed by the Second Coming of Our Lord Jesus Christ from heaven with all His elect Angels and sent to hell forever. The saints will then reign with Our Lord Jesus Christ at their head on earth forever.

Palestine, which is properly the Holy Land for in it walked God in the flesh, Jesus Christ, and there He allowed Himself to be sacrificed for the salvation of those who profess Him from the heart and with the mouth, is a miniature of all the evil that has come upon the earth and there will the final evil be concentrated in its fullness and rule from there for a short time.

This is the end of the eschaton and the beginning of the eternal recreated heavens and the earth and will begin when Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ returns from heaven in the same flesh He rose with and ascended into the third heaven with, seated at the right hand of the Father. His return will be with all of His elect angels. He will raise and judge all men in the flesh and then recreate the heavens and the earth, which in that state will last that way for eternity. There will NOT be any sin in the new heavens and earth, so prepare now by confessing the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit and be baptized as commanded above and shown how to baptize below and live Holy and Godly lives in sincerity and humility and meekness waiting for the Lord when He returns so that we are not like the five foolish virgins but are like the five wise virgins.

Baptism can and should always be performed immediately when there is danger of death of the one to be baptized. For instance, impending martyrdom or possible death causing illness.

As the Word of God Jesus Christ willed to learn in His Incarnation what He already possessed and knew prior to His Incarnation as part of His kenosis (emptying out of Himself and taking upon Himself our nature while in no way losing anything of what He already was as God by nature and Son of God as the Second Person of the undivided Trinity) and as an example to us of how we in humility must follow God the Father and the Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.

The Muslim feast of Eid only commemorates the typological sacrifice by Abraham of Issac. That prefigured the final and only Supreme Sacrifice of Jesus Christ on His Most Holy Cross. But no where are we allowed to refuse baptism.

All Muslims and everyone who will, are invited and encouraged to come to the water of life now and be baptized in the water and in the Spirit in name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit and receive Communion.

Mr. Nihad Abu Ghosh, spokesperson of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, which is led by Nayef Hawatmeh, cut the vein on his left wrist and also the veins of his neck from ear to ear last Saturday while he was in his office in Ramallah – he survived.

The suicide attempt took place during the forty-fifth anniversary of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP), a Marxist faction which emerged from the intellectual alienation between the Marxists and nationalists in the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine in 1969. The DFLP is led by Mr. Nayef Hawatmeh, a.k.a. “Abu an-Nuf”, a Jordanian politician born November 1938 in Al-Salt, a city of Jordan.

According to Palestinian sources, Abu Ghosh could be saved by colleagues in his office at the last minute. The sources reported that Abu Ghosh closed the door of his office on Saturday morning, he then made a phone call to one of his colleagues in the same office and then attempted suicide. His colleague had run to his office immediately after he heard his depressed voice. He found him unconscious in a pool of blood.

Abu Ghosh was transferred to a Ramallah hospital after he received first-aid emergency treatment in his office. The doctors stated that his condition is stable even after he lost a large amount of his blood as a result of the deep wounds.

According to Donia Al-Watan Online News citing sources, “a Palestinian businessman age of 50, from the occupied West Bank was extorted by the israeli mafia after they filmed him having sex with a prostitute”.

The israeli mafia extorted the Palestinian businessman by sending him a beautiful prostitute to his office several times. The prostitute invited the businessman to her house inside the Green Line in so-called “israel”, obviously on orders of the mafia. They filmed him naked while in bed with her and then threatened him with publishing the video if he did not pay them 600,000 shekels.

The scandal has reached the PS security office. According to them, after long negotiations with the israeli mafia through the intervention of lawyers, they reduced their demand to 200,000 shekels from the initial 600000 shekels they wanted as a price for not publishing the sex video.

وأفادت المصادر إن “أبو غوش” أغلق باب مكتبه على نفسه صباح اليوم السبت, وتحدث في اتصال هاتفي مع أحد زملائه في الجبهة ثم أقدم على الإنتحار، مما دفع الأخير للذهاب فورا إلى مكتبه ليجد “أبو غوش” مغشيا عليه ومضرجا بدمائه

ونزف “أبو غوش” كميات كبيرة من دمه, إلا أن إسعافات أولية قدمت له في مكتبه أدت إلى إنقاذ حياته, حيث نقل أبو غوش للمستشفى في حالة حرجة بعد أن فقد كميات كبيره من دمائه

وذكرت مصادر طبية في مستشفى رام الله أن أبو غوش لم يتمكن من قطع الشريان الرئيسي في رقبته, إلا أنه وصل المستشفر فاقدا لكميات كبيره من دمه

وأبو غوش في الخمسينيات من العمر، وهو من كوادر الجبهة الديمقراطية القدامى. شغل منصب عضو المكتب السياسي واللجنة المركزية في الجبهة قبل أن يتم إبعاده مؤخرا دون وجه حق شرعي عن مناصبه القيادية, وتعيينه مسؤولا للإعلام في الجبهة

وقالت المصادر أن المافيا الإسرائيلية أوقعت الضحية الفلسطيني, بعد أن وثقت علاقة بينه وبين إمرأة حسناء, قدمتها إليه على أنها عربية فلسطينية تقيم داخل الخط الأخضر. وقد زارت الحسناء “العاهرة” المسؤول في مكتبه عدة مرات, ثم دعته لزيارتها إلى منزلها في إسرائيل, حيث قامت عصابة المافيا بتصويره أثناء في وضع خاص مع المرأة داخل منزلها

وهددت المافيا الرجل الفلسطيني بنشر فيديو الفضيحة على شبكة يوتيوب, وطلبت منه دفع مبلغ مالي وقدره 600 الف شيكل مقابل التستر على الفضيحة

وذكرت المصادر أن حيثيات الفضيحة قد وصلت الأجهزة الأمنية الفلسطينية, وأن تحقيقا مطولا جرى في ذات الخصوص

وأشارت المصادر إلى أن الضحية لجأ للوساطات والمحامين من أجل عدم تشر الشريط الذي زعمت المافيا تصويره, حيث تنازلت المافيا في نهاية المفاوضات عن المبلغ المطلوب 600 الف شيكل مقابل دفع الضحية مبلغا ومقداره 200 الف شيكل

The current housing and construction minister, Uri Ariel, was Amana’s general secretary in the 1980s.

The allegation is detailed in documents sent to the police in a request to investigate the purchasing arm, Al-Watan.

In the summer of 2012, five buildings in Beit El’s Ulpana neighborhood were demolished following a petition to the High Court of Justice by Palestinians who owned the two lots at the site.

Last week Army Radio reported that Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon had given Al-Watan a permit to register parts of one of the lots under its name.

Al-Watan’s main owner is an Amana subsidiary, Binyanei Bar Amana. Al-Watan seeks to buy land in settlements where High Court petitions by Palestinians are pending; this would obviate the need to evacuate those lands.

Al-Watan’s directors are Ze’ev “ Zambish” Hever, a longtime leader of the settlement enterprise, Amana’s treasurer Moshe Yogev, and an Amana employee, Hananya Nahliel. Hever declined to comment for this article.
Al-Watan has claimed that it bought a Palestinian house on the outskirts of the settlement of Ofra, but the district court ruled that the deal was forged. Al-Watan also says it bought land at Giv’at Asaf, Amona and Migron. All of these transactions are being investigated by the police.

Regarding the Ulpana neighborhood, documents submitted by attorneys Michael Sfard and Shlomi Zacharia, who are representing the petitioners for human rights group Yesh Din, raise questions on the legitimacy of the Al-Watan purchases.

In January last year, a front man allegedly bought the land on which Ulpana sits from its Palestinians owners. A few months later the man allegedly passed the land on to Al-Watan. But according to the documents submitted by Sfard and Zacharia, the man stipulated had died years before.

In June, the man allegedly bought land in another part of Ulpana, from a different Palestinian. But according to the documents, this Palestinian lives in Jordan and says no one ever approached him about the land. Sfard and Zacharia want the police to launch a criminal probe on suspicion the purchases were forged.

This is not the first time Amana and its subsidiaries have claimed ownership of land in the Ulpana neighborhood. Amana has said that in 2000 it bought land at the site, but after the police determined that the purchase was fraudulent, the land was not transferred to Amana’s name.

In 2011, Amana claimed in district court that it owned a lot in Ulpana, in an effort to obstruct the evacuation of the neighborhood. The court rejected the claim.

Amana was founded in 1978 as the settlement movement of Gush Emunim. It is registered as a cooperative society, located on Paran Street in Jerusalem’s Ramat Eshkol neighborhood. The current housing and construction minister, Uri Ariel, was Amana’s general secretary in the 1980s.

The organization’s activity is conducted largely through a subsidiary, Binyanei Bar Amana. According to the division between the two, Amana plans and initiates the construction projects, wields political connections and obtains authorizations or devises means to sidestep the law; Binyanei Bar Amana does the actual construction. Almost all of that construction takes place in the West Bank. With the exception of isolated villages – such as Bar Yohai and Or Haganuz in Galilee, and communities for former residents of Gush Katif (the evacuated Gaza Strip settlement bloc) – all of Amana’s construction is being done across the Green Line. Hever became the society’s general secretary in 1989.

Hever, whose original name was Friedman, was born in Ramat Gan and joined Gush Emunim at a young age. In the 1970s, he was secretary of the regional council of Kiryat Arba, an urban settlement abutting on Hebron. As a member of the Jewish terrorist organization, he tried to place a bomb in the car of Dr. Ahmed Natshe, a political figure in Hebron. A barking dog frightened Hever and his accomplices, however, and they hid the bomb. It was discovered later on and became one of the clues that enabled the Shin Bet security service to uncover the Jewish Underground. Hever was arrested in 1984 and sentenced to 11 months in prison. Like all the refugees of the Underground, he moved towards the center in the wake of his experience. As a young man, Hever held extremely radical views about the Arabs but after his prison term, he abandoned the path of violence and embarked on a career as a functionary with close ties to the authorities.

About a year after Hever became Amana’s general secretary, Ariel Sharon was appointed housing minister (in the government of Yitzhak Shamir). The Sharon-Hever alignment paid off for the settlements, which underwent a building boom in this period (1990-1992). Sharon, given a free hand to build housing for the large influx of immigrants from the former Soviet Union, used the opportunity to beef up the settlements as well. He and Hever found a common language: both viewed themselves as men of action who had nothing but scorn for officials, bureaucrats, legal experts and the like.

Under Sharon’s stewardship, Amana engaged in a major building drive, which would make the settlements an irreversible fact of life. The warm relationship between Sharon and Hever was unbroken. Even during the 2005 disengagement from Gaza, when the settlers felt that Prime Minister Sharon had stabbed them in the back, Hever alone remained in constant touch with him. He told friends that his approach was: Whatever can be attained, can be; and what cannot, cannot.

وافادت الصحيفة ان الوثائق التي تقدم بها الملتمسون اظهرت علامات استفهام حول الصفقة المذكورة، فقد اظهرت ان شخصاً وسيطاً “اشترى” عام 2013 قطعة الارض التي اقيم عليها حي “الاولبانا” من شخص فلسطيني، ونقل الوسيط بعد عدة اشهر هذه الملكية الى شركة “الوطن ” الاستيطانية، الا ان الوثائق التي تقدّم بها الملتمسون اثبتت ان الشخص “البائع” متوفى قبل عدة سنوات من تاريخ البيع، حسب الصحيفة

كما تبين ايضاً ان وسيطاً آخر اشترى قطعة ارض اخرى في حي “الاولبانا” الا ان محامي الملتمسين اثبتوا ان الشخص “البائع” مقيم في الاردن مؤكدا ان احداً لم يتوجه اليه لشراء الارض. وكان المحامون تقدموا الى الشرطة بشكوى للتحقيق في ممارسات شركة “الوطن” للاشتباه بعملية تزوير

UN Year Year: Boycott Israel

2014: International Year of Solidarity With the Palestinians. The United Nations today launched the International Year of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, with senior officials urging that the observance be used to redouble efforts to achieve a durable peace between Israel and Palestine.

Just some weeks into 2014, theboycott, divestment and sanctions(BDS) movement has again shown that it represents an increasingly effective form of solidarity with the Palestinian struggle for freedom, justice and equality.

In early January, high profile Norwegian singer Moddi announced that he was cancelling his performance in Tel Aviv out of respect for the Palestinian call for a cultural boycott of Israel and following appeals from activists in Gaza.

On January 8, campaigners in the US were celebrating after Veolia lost out on a $4.5 billion contract in Boston following a vigorous campaign denouncing the company’s provision of infrastructure to illegal Israeli settlements.

In a potentially precedent-setting move, Dutch pension fund PGGM announced on January 13 that it is divesting from 5 of Israel’s biggest banks due to their deep involvement in Israeli violations of international law. The fund manages the pensions of 2.5 million people. Media reports now suggest that other European banks are considering similar steps.

On January 17, Villar Focchiardo became the sixth local council in Italy to condemn Pizzarotti for its role in an Israeli railway that passes through occupied Palestinian territory

The start to 2014 has also brought further evidence of the impact of BDS. Israeli politicians have again spoken of their growing fears about the growth of BDS, with Justice Minister Tzipi Livni describing BDS as advancing “exponentially”. Israeli settlers in the Jordan Valley have complained that retailers in western Europe are increasingly unwilling to purchase their products, hurting profitability, and the BDS movement has been featured heavily in mainstream Israeli media outlets in recent days.

These significant developments so early in the year follow a 2013 during which the BDS movement stepped further into the political mainstream and saw major institutions join the boycott, as our round-up of 2013 successes and developments in the BDS movement shows. Some of the most important successes of 2013 included:

- Security company G4S faced mounting international criticism and lost contracts worth millions of dollars with public bodies in South Africa and across Europe due to its role providing services to Israel’s checkpoints and settlements and prisons where Palestinian political prisoners are held without trial and tortured.

- French multinational Veolia lost contracts worth millions of dollars across the US, UK and in France, and announced that it was pulling out completely of running bus lines for Israeli settlers in occupied Palestinian territory. Veolia still operates the illegal Jerusalem Light Rail project.

- World renowned physicist Stephen Hawking and academic unions and associations across Europe and the US endorsed the academic boycott of Israeli institutions.

- Scores of trade unions, church organisations and student associations across the world endorsed the Palestinian call for BDS and joined our increasingly powerful and effective movement.

- Banks and pension funds in Europe and the US divested from companies that profilt from Israeli apartheid including Veolia and SodaStream.

- The European Union and the Dutch, British and Romanian government adopted some of the long overdue measures which are required from states in order to avoid complicity in Israel’s colonization of occupied Palestinian land, including measures aimed at stopping the flow of EU funds, foreign labour and business to the illegal Israeli settlement enterprise.

While there remains a long road before us, the Palestinian BDS National Committee is immensely proud of the way in which the BDS movement developed in 2013.

On behalf of our member organisations, we thank the each and every one of the campaigners and organisations whose dedication and skilled and strategic campaigning led to the inspirational continued growth of the BDS movement during 2013.

This year will mark 10 years since the International Court of Justice ruled that Israel’s apartheid wall and colonial settlements are illegal and that countries around the world are legally obliged to hold Israel accountable and not to support Israeli violations of international law.

Most international governments are yet to comply with this ruling and remain active accomplices to Israel’s system of occupation, colonisation and apartheid. Yet the international grassroots BDS movement is proving increasingly capable of ending international complicity with Israeli apartheid and pushing governments, corporations and institutions to take action.

We look forward to working with campaigners and civil society organisations across the world to continue to develop the BDS movement as a vital tool in the struggle for freedom, justice and equality of the oppressed Palestinian people, including the exiled refugees, Palestinian citizens of Israel and those under Israel’s occupation.

Palestinian Children Face Violence From Israeli Military

Three in four Palestinian children detained by the Israeli military in the occupied West Bank last year endured physical violence during arrest and interrogation, according to Defense for Children International Palestine research.

Data compiled by DCI-Palestine from 98 affidavits of Palestinian children aged 12 – 17 also showed that night arrests between midnight and 5 am increased to 56.1 percent from 45.4 percent in 2012. In 21.4 percent of cases, Israeli military, police and security agents held children in solitary confinement for an average of 10 days for interrogation purposes.

“Despite international condemnation and awareness of Israel’s widespread and systematic ill-treatment of Palestinian child prisoners, there have been no practical steps taken to curb violations,” said Ayed Abu Eqtaish, Accountability Program director at DCI-Palestine. “The international community must demand justice and accountability.”

Israel is the only state to automatically and systematically prosecute children in military courts that lack basic standards of due process. Around 500 – 700 Palestinian children, some as young as 12, are arrested, detained and prosecuted in the Israeli military detention system each year. The majority of Palestinian child detainees are charged with throwing stones. No Israeli children come into contact with the military court system.

DCI-Palestine research shows that children arrive to Israeli interrogation centers blindfolded, bound and sleep deprived. Unlike their Israeli counterparts, Palestinian children have no right to be accompanied by a parent during an interrogation. In 96 percent of cases documented by DCI-Palestine in 2013, children were questioned alone and rarely informed of their rights, particularly their right against self-incrimination.

The interrogation techniques are generally mentally and physically coercive, frequently incorporating a mix of intimidation, threats and physical violence with a clear purpose of obtaining a confession. More than one in five of the 2013 cases, children signed statements in Hebrew, a language they do not understand.

DCI-Palestine demands that Israeli authorities end night arrests, prohibit the use of solitary confinement, and ensure that evidence obtained by force or coercion during interrogations is excluded as evidence in the Israeli military courts. DCI-Palestine calls on Israeli authorities to allow access to legal counsel prior to interrogations and the presence of a parent during interrogations.

Impunity for violations was a significant obstacle in 2013 as DCI-Palestine filed 15 complaints with Israeli authorities concerning the ill-treatment and torture of 10 children while in Israeli military detention. Not a single indictment has been issued against a perpetrator. Many Palestinian families refuse to file complaints for fear of retaliation or simply because they do not believe the system is fair or impartial.

Recent amendments to Israeli military laws concerning children have had little to no impact on their treatment during the critical 24 – 48 hours after an arrest, where most of the ill-treatment occurs at the hands of soldiers, policemen and interrogators.

Dutch-Israeli Dispute Over Gazas New Scanner

Amid today’s report of a canceled visit by the Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte to Gaza’s commercial crossing, Gisha – Legal Center for Freedom of Movement (Maslak), offers some facts about Israel’s ban on transferring goods from Gaza to the West Bank and Israel:

• Since 2007, Israel has banned Palestinians in Gaza from transferring goods to Israel and the West Bank, which constitute more than 85% of the markets for Gaza’s outgoing produce, manufactured goods and other items.

• Israel permits limited amounts of goods to be exported to third countries, via the Kerem Shalom Crossing it controls. Although export truckloads undergo security checks and transit though Israel and the West Bank, the trucks are not permitted to unload there, where demand for their goods is highest.

• As a result, Palestinians from Gaza are selling just 2% of the volume of outgoing goods that they were selling prior to the ban.

• The agricultural and manufacturing sectors in Gaza – and the tens of thousands of families dependent on them – are paying the price. Unemployment in Gaza stands at 33%. Prior to 2008, 200 farmers grew cherry tomatoes, primarily for sale in Israel and the West Bank. By 2011, the number was down to 13.

• In 2012 and 2013, Israel piloted exceptions to the ban, allowing 53 truckloads of goods from Gaza to be sold to the Palestinian Authority and the World Food Program in the West Bank and a few trucks of palm fronds (lulav) to be sold to Israel for the Jewish holiday of Sukkot. The exception has not been widened.

The Dutch government donated the multi-million Euro scanner to the PA for use by Israel. Visiting Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte reportedly canceled participation in a planned inauguration ceremony for the scanner, after Israel refused his request that it be used to scan goods transiting from Gaza to the West Bank.

Israel says the ban on Palestinians from Gaza selling goods to Israel and the West Bank is part of what it calls the “Separation Policy“, a policy that contradicts other statements by military officials confirming the importance of economic development in Gaza to stability and to Israel’s own security interests.

Peace Now: Israel Okays 829 New Squatter Houses

JERUSALEM – AFP – Israeli authorities have given the go-ahead for the construction of 829 new squatter houses in the occupied West Bank, settlement watchdog Peace Now said on Monday. “The construction of 829 homes has been approved by a committee of the Israeli military in charge of the West Bank,” said Lior Amihai, a Peace Now official.

“This is yet another move that threatens to derail the peace process,” Amihai told AFP.

President Mahmoud Abbas has warned that ongoing settlement building by Israel in the occupied Palestinian territories threatens the future of the Middle East peace process. The new homes would be built north of Jerusalem in the settlements of Givat Zeev, Nofei Prat, Shilo, Givat Salit and Nokdim, Amihai said.

The latest move comes two weeks after Israel announced its largest plan for settler homes ever, saying some 20,000 would be built in the West Bank.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu cancelled the order after pressure from the United States, which brought the two sides to the table in July and as the Israeli premier sought to dissuade Washington from striking a nuclear deal with Iran.

That announcement had prompted the entire Palestinian negotiating team to resign in protest — resignations which Abbas has yet to accept.

Abbas told AFP last week his side is committed to the full period of talks agreed with Washington that will end in around April.

But if the talks end with no deal, the Palestinians have said they will pursue legal action against Israel’s illegal building through international courts.

Commentators say the Palestinians will not back out of talks before their end date, as this would signal implicit responsibility for their failure.

French Diplomat Arrested fur Smuggling Gold Into Israeli

More than 150kg of gold, mainly in solid bars, were found in the diplomatic vehicle.

The Israeli Hebrew newspapers reported today Sunday Sep. 8 2013 that the Israeli police had arrested an employee of the French consulate in Jerusalem for smuggling gold, tobacco, bank cheques and cell phones while trying to cross through the Jordanian – Palestinian Karamah Bridge into the West Bank. The Israeli police found about 152 Kg in gold bars, nearly $2 million in cheques, 500 Kg of tobacco and hundreds of cell phones in his car with a diplomatic registration.

Since it is highly unusual that a diplomat would be detained for such “petty” misdemeanours, it can be theorized that the Israeli police would be deliberately dirtying the name of the French consulate for unknown reasons. No information was released about the partners of the French diplomat who were supposed to receive the contraband so it is not known if he works for an Israeli governmental body, is a politician, a parliamentarian, a Mafioso or even an employee of the Palestinian Authority. The police also did not say how many times the French diplomat had succeeded in smuggling goods before.

The Israeli police did not disclose the reasons for the dispute that took place between the French diplomat and his partner, which led him to inform the Israeli police about the deal and the confiscation of gold before the entry through the occupied Palestine.

By FRANCE 24 – Israeli officials arrested an employee of the French consulate in Jerusalem on Tuesday as he tried to cross from Jordan into the West Bank with some 152 kg in gold bars, nearly $2 million in checks and 500 kg of tobacco.

Israeli customs officials on Tuesday arrested a French consulate employee carrying nearly $2 million in checks, 152 kg in gold bars and a half ton of tobacco as he tried to cross between Jordan and the West Bank in a diplomatic vehicle, a French source confirmed to FRANCE 24.

Intrigued by the smell of tobacco, Israeli officials asked the man if they could search his car. He refused, explaining that his diplomatic plates were registered at the French consulate in Jerusalem and that he possessed a service passport – an official document issued by the French authorities that indicates he is a member of the consular staff but which does not serve as a diplomatic passport.

A hidden treasure
Faced with more questions and increasing pressure, the man grew nervous and asked to be allowed to turn around and return to Jordan. The officials refused and called their superiors, who alerted the French consulate. The ambassador was away, so his deputy took the case.

While the diplomat told the young driver that he was probably right in refusing a search, he insisted it would be in his best interests to obey the custom officials’ orders, whereupon the man informed the consular official that what he was carrying wasn’t “insignificant”. The diplomat, realising that the situation was becoming increasingly complicated, alerted the Foreign Affairs Ministry in Paris.

The ministry’s advice was to allow the vehicle to be searched to avoid giving the impression that there was a coverup.

The driver eventually complied, revealing 152 kg of gold, mostly in bars; 500 kg of tobacco; hundreds of new cell phones; and nearly $2 million in checks.

Deported back to France

The Israeli police arrested the man, who was in charge of the consulate’s garage, questioned him and quickly deported him to France.

Now back on French soil, it is still unclear whether or not the driver was arrested by French police.

In an interview with FRANCE 24, Vincent Floriani, a spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Paris, said the driver was travelling on his own account, privately, and not on behalf of the embassy.

He insisted that the French and Israeli authorities had cooperated fully. “We have absolutely no tolerance for this kind of behaviour,” he said.

The case, however, could harm the reputation of the French consulate in Jerusalem, which some Israelis already call “the embassy of France in Palestine”.
