There will NOT be any sin in the new heavens and earth, so prepare now by confessing the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit and be baptized as commanded above and shown how to baptize below and live Holy and Godly lives in sincerity and humility and meekness waiting for the Lord when He returns so that we are not like the five foolish virgins but are like the five wise virgins.

Palestinian Children Face Violence From Israeli Military

Three in four Palestinian children detained by the Israeli military in the occupied West Bank last year endured physical violence during arrest and interrogation, according to Defense for Children International Palestine research.

Data compiled by DCI-Palestine from 98 affidavits of Palestinian children aged 12 – 17 also showed that night arrests between midnight and 5 am increased to 56.1 percent from 45.4 percent in 2012. In 21.4 percent of cases, Israeli military, police and security agents held children in solitary confinement for an average of 10 days for interrogation purposes.

“Despite international condemnation and awareness of Israel’s widespread and systematic ill-treatment of Palestinian child prisoners, there have been no practical steps taken to curb violations,” said Ayed Abu Eqtaish, Accountability Program director at DCI-Palestine. “The international community must demand justice and accountability.”

Israel is the only state to automatically and systematically prosecute children in military courts that lack basic standards of due process. Around 500 – 700 Palestinian children, some as young as 12, are arrested, detained and prosecuted in the Israeli military detention system each year. The majority of Palestinian child detainees are charged with throwing stones. No Israeli children come into contact with the military court system.

DCI-Palestine research shows that children arrive to Israeli interrogation centers blindfolded, bound and sleep deprived. Unlike their Israeli counterparts, Palestinian children have no right to be accompanied by a parent during an interrogation. In 96 percent of cases documented by DCI-Palestine in 2013, children were questioned alone and rarely informed of their rights, particularly their right against self-incrimination.

The interrogation techniques are generally mentally and physically coercive, frequently incorporating a mix of intimidation, threats and physical violence with a clear purpose of obtaining a confession. More than one in five of the 2013 cases, children signed statements in Hebrew, a language they do not understand.

DCI-Palestine demands that Israeli authorities end night arrests, prohibit the use of solitary confinement, and ensure that evidence obtained by force or coercion during interrogations is excluded as evidence in the Israeli military courts. DCI-Palestine calls on Israeli authorities to allow access to legal counsel prior to interrogations and the presence of a parent during interrogations.

Impunity for violations was a significant obstacle in 2013 as DCI-Palestine filed 15 complaints with Israeli authorities concerning the ill-treatment and torture of 10 children while in Israeli military detention. Not a single indictment has been issued against a perpetrator. Many Palestinian families refuse to file complaints for fear of retaliation or simply because they do not believe the system is fair or impartial.

Recent amendments to Israeli military laws concerning children have had little to no impact on their treatment during the critical 24 – 48 hours after an arrest, where most of the ill-treatment occurs at the hands of soldiers, policemen and interrogators.

Israeli War Criminal Convicted of Smuggling Drugs

He sold the confiscated hashish and heroin to “Avi Shalom, אבי שלום”, a former soldier under his command. In total, Kabalo sold 144 kilograms of hashish and 10 kilograms of heroin.

That means that the Israeli soldier, while perpetrating crimes of war as an officer of the occupation and during the operations of the invasion of Gaza in 2008/2009 in which thousands of children; elderly and innocent civilians were murdered or seriously injured, Eran Cabello complemented his income as a war criminal with income from his occupation as a drug pusher.

According to “Resh Bet”, the value of the drugs smuggled by Cabello was estimated to be in the order of “millions of dollars”, and he was also using soldiers stationed at the Sinai border to smuggle the drugs into israel.

According to Haaretz newspaper: Kabalo and Shalom apparently first discussed the drugs at a wedding in the southern Israeli town of Netivot, when Shalom said he could sell them. Kabalo was supposed to net an estimated NIS 1.7 million in profits, and had already received NIS 340,000 by the time of his arrest a year and a half ago. On three occasions, Kabalo allowed Shalom into his office on the base, including into the operations room, where he stored the drugs and also classified documents.

Kabalo apparently opened the safe in which the drugs were stored, and offered to sell Shalom 100 kilos of hashish, but the latter bought only 94 kilos. Kabalo invested some of the money and transferred thousands of shekels into his and his wife’s accounts. He also bought two iPads, for himself and for the regimental commander, who repaid him.

In separate incidents, the Egyptian border troops arrested several israeli soldiers wearing civil uniform in the Sinai on the Egyptian side of the border. Each time one of these criminals is caught, the israel claims that he entered Egyptian territory “by mistake”.

A few hours before the celebration of his 16th birthday, lightening of 16 candles and cutting his birthday cake together with his family, a female israeli soldier of the so-called “border Police” murdered in cold blood Mohammad Ziad Awad Al-Salaymeh, a sixteen year old boy, with six bullets aimed at his head and chest. Her colleagues dropped a plastic pistol besides his body to help cover up the crime.

The zionist war criminal, one of those psychopaths who call themselves “Gods chosen people” who was stationed in the middle of the Palestinian residential area of Haret Al-Masharkah al-Foqa at the so-called “al-Rajabi check point”, downtown in occupied Hebron, could not find any justification for her cold-blooded murder of Palestinian teenager Al-Salaymeh with six bullets, more than to let her colleagues place a plastic toy pistol besides his body.

In the “state” of the immoral zionist occupation, israel, soldiers are always ready to justify the murder of Palestinian children. The causes of the murder perpetrated by these psychos are always at the ready for the IDF press releases. It is easy and simple for the cowardly israeli war criminals to invent silly reasons to justify the murders of innocent civilians in their own homeland, their cities, towns and homes since more than 45 years of morally reprehensible occupation of Palestine, and more than 67 years since the Nakba.

The murder of boy Al- Salaymeh, putting a plastic pistol next to his body to cover up the murder, denying a medical team to reach his body, impeding the journalists from filming the tragedy reminds me of several crimes of murder against innocent boys perpetrated by israeli soldiers in my homeland Hebron. The crime scene is always turned into a theatric play by the IDF soldiers. Knives, pistols, guns, pepper spray … which of course are a threat to the life of armed IDF soldiers, are always readily appear at the right time on the stage of the bloody theater where the israeli war criminals and psychopaths perpetrated their crime.

Last week, the israeli media reported that the radical extremist, the self-appointed “interior minister” Elie Yishai, and Shaul Mofaz, the engineer of mass murder in the occupied West Bank for decades, now the head of the so-called Kadima opposition party, demanded from the ministerial council to “free the hands of the Israeli occupation soldiers in the West Bank”. According to these blood-guzzlers, the soldiers should be allowed to murder Palestinians with live ammunition whenever they felt they need to do that.

Just a few days after these criminal demands, that female IDF soldier shot Palestinian boy Al- Salaymeh in Hebron, where 400 colonists, armed squatters, are protected by 5000 IDF soldiers, live in the heart of a city between 200000 Palestinians. The life of the Hebronites has turned into hell to the presence of those squatters, most of them mentally incompetent criminals from the US and EU.

The israeli military commander justified the murder of the boy saying that the soldiers operating in the field have the rights to make the “appropriate decisions” (he means to put an end of the life of any Palestinian) whenever “danger” threats his colleagues life.

Without doubt, it is a tough equation that the Palestinians alone have to pay for it. In occupied Palestine, passing by a soldier, looking at him normally, or even breathing fresh air, is always considered a threat of to the Israeli occupiers life.

Al- Salaymeh was an adept gymnasiast, he had won a number of sports medals of honor due to his victory in sports activities at school and at the club of sports in Hebron. Few hours before his murder, he had celebrated with his colleagues at school his 16 birthday, lightened 16 candles, cut the cake and received small presents.

Al- Salaymeh was shot with 6 live bullets when he was on his way to buy a cake to celebrate his birthday with his family. But the IDF bullets aimed at his head and shot by that psychopath for fun ended his life before receiving his mother’s kisses, enjoying his birthday together with his family.

The family of Al- Salaymeh boy stated that he suffered of hearing problems. They denied the IDF allegations that he was carrying a toy pistol with him. He had gone to buy a cake, his family said.

The IDF soldiers attacked the father of the boy, who was transferred to the hospital for medical treatment. The house of the family was invaded; the family was terrorized by the IDF psychopaths ONLY for fun.

The scene of the crime was declared as military zone before journalists arrived. Always when the IDF perpetrates a crime, they declare the area as a military zone so that the fanciful IDF press release for the occasion cannot be contradicted by the facts. This is how the Israeli war criminals work in my homeland.

On 18 November 2012, a 10-year-old boy is killed along with his father when the water truck they are travelling in is destroyed by an Israeli drone in Gaza.

Ten-year-old Ashour lived with his family in the Jabalia refugee camp, north Gaza. His father Suheil worked distributing mineral water to households in Gaza. “He did not have a fixed schedule,” explains Ashour’s uncle, Ali. “He would deliver clean water in his truck whenever the customers called him.”

On Sunday, 18 November 2012, Suheil went to distribute water at around 3:30 p.m. with his son Ashour. “Suheil used to take his sons when they didn’t have school or homework to help him,” says Ali. “Drone planes were flying overhead.” At around 4:30 p.m., Ali’s neighbour came to tell him he had heard that a truck similar to Suhail’s had been targeted by the Israelis in Beit Lahiya. “I got really worried so I immediately called Suheil but he did not answer,” Ali recalls. “I kept calling for like three or four minutes until someone picked up. He said he was a paramedic, but then the call dropped out because the signal was weak.”

Ali asked his neighbour to take him to Beit Lahiya to the site of the incident. “As we approached, I saw many people gathered around a vehicle that had been bombed. I recognized the vehicle. It was Suheil’s. I saw the water tank in the back and saw that the front had been hit.” Ali was told that the bodies had been taken to the morgue. “I rushed to the morgue and found Suheil’s body. He had been dismembered. Only the upper part of his body was there. I started crying. Then, I heard people saying that his son had been also killed. I was really shocked. The man in charge of the morgue opened another draw and I recognized Ashour. His face was burned and his body was covered with shrapnel wounds.”

“I was told that Suhail and Ashour were targeted by a drone, and that there were no fighters nearby,” says Ali. “Suheil’s other four children, Isra’ (17), Malak (14), Mo’men (12) and Batoul (4) are always crying and have nightmares, especially Malak and Mo’men,” says Ali. “The little one, Batoul, keeps asking me, ‘where’s daddy? where’s Ashour?’ and I tell her they’re in heaven. Their father died while working in tough conditions so he could feed them.”

Palestine Center for Human Rights (PCHR) – On 28 September 2012, Israel’s forces shot and killed Fahmi Abu Riash (22), a Palestinian fisherman, and wounded his brother Youssef (19), while they and a group of other fishermen were pulling out their fishing nets a few meters from the shore in the northern Gaza Strip.

According to investigations conducted by the Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR), an Israeli infantry unit crossed the northwestern border between the Gaza Strip and Israel, and moved nearly 20 meters into Palestinian territory, along the beach area of the northwestern town of Beit Lahia. Israeli soldiers took position behind a hill at the beach, facing a number of Palestinian fishermen who were fishing a few meters offshore, and opened fire at the fishermen. The majority of the fishermen were able to flee.

However, two fishermen, who were located nearly 15 meters away from the border between the Gaza Strip and Israel, were unable to escape. According to fishermen present in the area, Israeli soldiers fired directly at the two fishermen, wounding them. One of the men, Fahmi Abu Riash, died of his wounds later on the same day.

Fahmi’s brother, Youssef, was also shot. He gives the following account: “We left the house at around 5am and went down to the sea. I was with my 2 brothers, Fahmi and Ahmed, and 2 of my cousins. We were not out on a boat that day. We just had our nets and we were fishing near the shore. It was at around 9.30am, when I heard someone screaming. I then realized that it was my brother, Fahmi, and he had been shot in his left leg. I remember seeing about 10 soldiers standing on an elevated piece of land and there were many more mobilized behind them. I rushed to help Fahmi and started shouting for help from the other fishermen on the shore. I carried my brother, and then they shot at us again. They were firing from behind and I also got hit on my arms and legs. I carried Fahmi, and then walked about 30 meters before I fainted.”

The fishermen on the shore called an ambulance and the 2 brothers were rushed to Kamal Adwan Hospital. Youssef had sustained several injuries but was in a stable condition. He recalls: “When I finally came to, I was in hospital. I was treated for my wounds and discharged. I had been shot in the left arm and I developed partial paralysis as a result of damage to my nervous system. I also had shrapnel lodged in my arms and legs. Some of the shrapnel was removed but some of it requires surgery.” Youssef’s brother Fahmi, however, died of his injuries some hours later.

As she remembers the incident, Mariam recounts what had become a tradition for the family. Most days, from 11am until 6pm, she used to accompany them to the beach and make them lunch as they worked: “On that day, I did not go with them. I was at home making them lunch when the incident happened. My sister came and told me that Fahmi and Youssef had been taken to Kamal Adwan Hospital and I rushed there.

I never expected this to happen. I would have never sent my sons to fish if I had known it was dangerous. We used to go to that same place all the time and the soldiers used to watch us. My whole family used to swim, cook and have fun there over the weekends. They knew who we were. I never let my sons go beyond the fence. I would never put my children in danger. It was normal to fish there and there had never been any threat, yet on that day they decided to shoot at my sons for no reason.”

The Abu Riaj family was fully dependent on fishing as a means of income before the death of Fahmi. Since the attack, the family is facing hard times financially, as Marjam explains: “Fishing was the only thing sustaining my family. It is the only thing my sons knew how to do.

Fahmi had been fishing since he was 10 years old. He had been arrested twice by the Israeli Forces while he was fishing and released at Erez on the same day. They only used to question him and release him afterwards. My sons had a boat but it was damaged in a previous incident and can no longer be used. Now Fahmi is dead, Youssef is wounded and I will not send Ahmed back there to be killed. My husband was injured in the First Intifada and he is in no condition to work. Ahmed has now taken up temporary work at a construction site and his income is what the family is living on. Fahmi was the first born son and he was responsible for the family. We do not know what to do without him.”

The death of Fahmi has been particularly hard for his mother. She goes quiet then breaks down in tears as she speaks of him: “My son was so close to my heart and they killed him. Everything was destroyed by his death. I was proud of how good he was at sports, such as volleyball, football and swimming. He always promised me that when he got enough money, he would take me to have surgery to correct a problem with my eyes. He had only been married for two years and he has left behind a 1-year-old son.

This little child lost his father and he will never know how it feels to have one. Fahmi’s wife is still young, only 22. She stays at home mourning her husband. What does the future hold for her? All my hope in life is lost. I do not know how to move on without my son. In the past, we were a bit hopeful that everything would be okay but now we know that nothing is ever going to change. The Israeli occupation is full of liars and criminals. They claimed that Fahmi had gone beyond the border fence. I never allowed my sons to do that. They have never done that. There was no reason for my son’s death.”

The targeting and killing of a civilian, a protected person, is a war crime, as codified in Articles 8(2)(a)(i) and 8(2)(b)(i) of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court. Similarly, under Article 53 of the Fourth Geneva Convention, the destruction of private property is prohibited unless rendered absolutely necessary by military operations.

In addition, the destruction of fishing equipment such as boats, which are private property, results in Palestinians being unable to use the property necessary for the production of food, violating numerous human rights provisions, including the right to adequate food contained in Article 6 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights. Israel’s actions against the fishermen is also a violation of their right to an adequate standard of living, as codified in Article 25 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and Article 11 of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.
