Led by Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, the Company's delegation made a business trip to the Slovak Republic.
As part of the visit a meeting was held in Bratislava between Alexey Miller and Robert Fico, Prime Minister of Slovakia.
The parties emphasized a high level of the mutually beneficial partnership in the gas sector and addressed promising issues, such as joint execution of projects on the gas transportation system and UGS facilities development in Slovakia. A focus was placed on strengthening the reliability and sustainability of Russian gas supplies in the short and long term.
Alexey Miller and Robert Fico agreed to ramp up the activity within infrastructure projects.

Background

In 2011 Gazprom supplied Slovakia with 5.9 billion cubic meters of Russian gas.
Slovakia is a major transit partner of Gazprom. The Company conveyed 48.7 billion cubic meters of natural gas, including fuel gas, across Slovakia in 2011.
