Abbas Congratulates the Military Coup in Egypt
Ramallah – July 4, 2013 – Palestinian “President” Mahmoud Abbas, whose presidential term expired in 2009 and who is backed by the bayonets and guns of the USA, israel and many Western countries sent a letter to the appointed Egyptian transitional “President” Adly Mansour congratulating his new post as Egyptian interim “president”.
“President” Mansour received his new post after Gen. Abdel Fatah Said Al-Sisi after he led a military coup against the elected President Morsi.
Abbas said in his letter: “In my own name and on “behalf of the Palestinian people” and their leadership, I congratulate you on assuming the leadership of Egypt at this transitional point of its history, and I appeal to God to help you to shoulder the responsibility in this critical period to achieve the hopes of the brotherly Egyptian People in achieving freedom, dignity and stability.”
He also praised the role played by the Egyptian armed forces headed by General al-Sissi, in preserving Egypt’s security and preventing it from sliding to an unknown fate, valuing the role by the Egyptian people who rose up to save Egypt and set a future plan for it in these critical moments.
Abbas emphasized the Palestinian people’s support to the Egyptian people, who embraced the Palestinian cause and sacrificed for it and who were keen to the Palestinian people in various phases of their struggle.
Nobody knows on basis of what laws Abbas calls himself “president” and since when neither he nor his “Palestinian Authority” have any legitimacy in law.
