Mark Regev (Hebrew: מארק רגב), formerly Mark Freiberg, is an Israeli government spokesman.[1] He is currently the spokesman for the Prime Minister of Israel and an advisor on foreign press and public affairs, a position he has held since his appointment by the former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert in 2007.
Regev was born Mark Freiberg in Melbourne, Australia, in 1960 to Martin and Freda Freiberg. He graduated from Mount Scopus Memorial College, received his Bachelor's degree in Political Science and History at Melbourne University, and a Master's degree in Political Science from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, as well as a Master of Science in Management from Boston University.[2]

In his youth Regev was a prominent member of the Socialist-Zionist youth movement, Ichud Habonim, and was active in the Melbourne University Jewish Students Society. Dr. Hasanain pointed out that the injured who arrive at hospitals suffer from severe burns and lacerations in the tissues of blood, and shattered nerves and bones, with roasted and chopped tissue which is originally a result of the fragments of the missiles. One thing is clear: the incompetent people who you sent have been caught, but not captured, and Israel will be guilty for whatever happens to me from now. If the leaves of autumn fall on my head, Israel will be guilty.
Do yourself a favor and stop sending these cowards. For now your “super agents” have been exposed as laughing stock, but what will happen if next time around one of them is caught? Oh you're talking about... oh first of all maybe we have a discussion about who is a journalist and if you'll allow me I will elaborate on this. There is the al-Aqsa station, which is a station that is a Hamas command and control facility, just as in other totalitarian regimes; the media is used by the regime for command and control and also for security purposes. From our point of view that's not a legitimate journalist.Al-Jazeera's correspondent then followed-up by asking, "So what are you saying? That a local Arab journalist life is any less than an internationalist journalist?" Apparently for Regev, yes, in Gaza there are no legitimate Palestinian journalists, only targets.
